I would advise that these seem to run a half size large, so keep that in mind when ordering. I wear size 8.5 and got these in 37/38. Either that size or 39/40 would have worked, but usually I end up tripping if mine are too big.

These shoes are really comfortable but they "fart" when I walk on them.They squish air out somewhere under the arch of my foot and are really annoying.I love how they fit.They are adjustable, which ensures a good fit, even if your feet are hot and swollen. I have to agree with the other review here, these shoes are way too slippery and I had to walk very gingerly hoping I didn''t fall over.Don''t need to wear shoes that I have to concentrate walking in.

Not only are they slippery on the sole (couldn''t wear them in the house on hardwood floors) they are also slippery on the innersoles (stockings made them even more slippery).

I also didn''t find them very comfortable, they were very hard to wear and there was no cushioning effect.

Such a shame they are such a stylish shoe and look fantastic on, even my 11 year old twin boys said how good they looked (while they were laughing at how I was very carefully walking in them).

Shoes are beautiful, but too slippery and at the end of the day, my musles ended up tired for grabing the shoe with every step I made. I had to buy ball of foot cushions to have a better grip. Too expensive to have to fix them.

Portlandia Women''s Helsinki Boot

I bought these boots because I wanted a boot without a 3+ inch heel. I am 6ft tall so I hate wearing high heels, but I love the feeling of a bit of a heel. When they arrived they looked as great as the picture online with a nice leather finish without having too much of a shine. I also commute in Seattle so being able to walk in downtown was a must. The first day I wore these shoes they felt a bit short in the toe area, but they do break in very quickly and now they fit perfectly. I have gotten many compliments on these boots and I have even now ordered another pair of Portlandia shoes. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone looking for a great boot without a super high heel.

These boots look absolutely beautiful online, pretty much confirmed once they arrived. Well made, nice material, great style. I was so bummed that they didn''t fit at all.

Be careful to select the correct size when placing the order! The default setting is in the WIDE sizes, not the medium sizes, so I accidentally ordered the wide instead of medium.

Bearing that in mind, the upper and the shank are still way bigger than expected, not at all the slim silhouette you see in the photos. The footbed, heel and toe cap were only a tiny bit wider than I needed (my feet are kinda in between M and W) but the upper part goes straight up from the top of the toe cap, and the shank is huge. I could fit my whole hand inside the boot, around my ankle, and it was still loose! I like a snug fit in the ankles and have narrow/medium calves, but this was ridiculous. I''m pretty confident that this wasn''t just because of the wide sizing; I also ordered another pair of Portlandia boots (Milano Gathered Bootie) which I got in the correct width. They were also quite loose in the upper and ankle, so that may just be the way this brand fits. Probably a great find if you have a high arch and/or larger ankles lucky you!

The footbed and walking comfort were great. I liked them enough that I''ve ordered another pair in medium in the hopes that they''ll fit.

Not only do these shoes look great, they fit great too. I ordered a size 5 1/2-6 (36) wide as I do have wide feet. They are slightly snug, but since I normally wear a 6-6 1/2 I was expecting that. I am able to wear a thin sock with the boots and am hoping they stretch out a little. I also ordered another pair of Portlandia flats to be worn without socks and those pair fit PERFECT! I would order these shoes again.

Spenco(r) Arch Supports Orthotic 3/4 Length

I have the Spenco women''s arch supports for over 2 years now, and they''re just as good as when I first got them.They offer true support and comfort at an amazingly low price.Believe me, I''ve had custom made orthotics as well as cheaper ones such as the ones made by Lynco, and these Spenco ones are my favorite.They easily can be molded to your specific foot shape.They also have a foam type padding on top that makes them comfy to wear and very durable.They''re easy to clean as well.I highly recommend them!

Having worn custom orthotics, I was interested in trying the Spenco orthotic because it had a rigid base and was adjustable.The instructions for adjustment were very sparse, stating to place them in boiling water for 2 minutes and to then adjust as desired.This did not work for me, as I would have hoped that the plastic base would have been more malleable, and it was difficult to hold in position while waiting for it to cool.Customer service said to place it in a shallow pan of boiling water, turn the heat off and wait for 2 minutes and then adjust.This did not work for me either.Finally, I placed the orthotic in my bench vise to hold it in the adjustment that I wanted and used a heat gun to heat theplastic bottom of the orthotic.After leaving it in the vise for a few minutes to cool, it held the shape the I desired and they are very satisfactory to me.

I love the WARRANTY--one year UNCONDITIONAL warranty--if they do not help you or you are dissatisfied, return them to the manufacturer for a full refund--now that is confidence in their product!

The orthotics seem of good quality and their adjustability is a big selling point for me, though it is a little bit of a hassle to do the adjustment.If there is another brand that is adjustable, I would like to know it.I am considering buying a couple of more of these orthotics to have for each pair of shoes.

The doctor recommended I try Spenco or Superfeet 3/4 arches.I bought both and these are definitely more comfortable, however, I saw an ad on TV for another type (one of those infomercials).I had such trouble I figured I''d give them a try and actually like them better!Those are WalkFit.They come in 1/2 sizes (which Spenco do not) and come with 3 different arch heights.I am finding that I use the Spenco on one foot and WalkFit on the other.Just more comfortable.Oh, and WalkFits work great in sandals and in the water (rocky bottom river to be exact they''re entirely plastic, no cushion).Spencos, plastic on the bottom but the cushion is not so good in the water.

I couldn''t believe the great price on these Badgley Mischka flats. I ordered these in the Navy color and I am so pleased with them. They are a beautiful satin in a rich, deep blue.While they are clearly darker blue, I wouldn''t call them navy. You would never confuse them with black. And because they are satin, they have a nice sheen and look slightly different at night than in sunlight. They run true to size and are surprisingly comfortable. The bottoms are a little stiff to walk around all day, but they are plenty comfortable for an evening out or around the office. The broach on the top of the shoe is in hematite colored metal with darker crystal stones they are not clear/white crystals. I think the darker crystals and metal work beautifully with the deep blue fabric.

Also, these shoes arrived brand new in the original box, wrapped in Badgley Mischka tissue, and with a soft dust jacket for the shoes.

Touch Ups Women''s Logan Platform Sandal

I was looking for a reasonably comfortable dress shoe to wear with a bridesmaid dress and bought this based on reviews that said it was comfortable. Sadly, it was not. The size was a good fit, though I have a narrow foot and the toe straps were a bit wide. Walking around at home, I could tell my toes/ footpad would hurt with more than a few minutes'' wear, so I bought gel inserts for the toe. This helped somewhat, but I still wanted to take them off after two hours.

I searched for months for the perfect platform sandal in gold with a somewhat gladiator look, to wear with a tan colored convertible dress that has a roman style to it (bands of fabric that can wrap either over the shoulder or crisscross over the chest and around the neck, then back down around the waist and tie, etc). After looking at about 200 pairs of gold high heeled shoes, I found these (on another website), original price $215. Charles David offers high quality shoes, which is great, but I still didnt want to spend that much. Found on Amazon for $85 and I think they are worth it. Great workmanship, and the gold finish plus hardware and stitching and wood heel seems high-quality. The fabric looks like real leather (pebbled texture) and the gold finish does not look cheap. I wanted to avoid a cheap looking "party" shoe with a gold-tissue finish that wears right off after rubbing your feet around in them for a few days (or God forbid they get wet, some finishes peel/crack right off). I expect these to wear well over time. I wore them to a house party last night to see how they felt, and they were fairly comfortable. I got a lot of compliments from other women. Sizing was right on I am normally a 7.5, which I ordered, and they are not an inch too big or small. Straps over the bridge of the foot can leave an imprint in your skin by the end of the night, but I feel that was more due to average/natural swelling of feet by the end of the day than incorrect sizing or style. I am fairly petite with shorter legs, so I was looking for something that would not "cut off" my leg like so many cage style sandals can do, or rather any shoe with a strap around the ankle. The reason this worked for me is because the gold color isnt too far off from skin color, so kind of similar to wearing a nude shoe elongates the leg. I recommend these shoes, especially at this price. Original intent was specifically to wear with aforementioned dress to a wedding, but last night I wore with white skinny jeans and sheer colorful tunic gorgeous!

If it ever stops raining, I am sure that I will wear these often this summer (again, if it ever stops raining here in Chicago). Nice quality leather, too.
