it would''ve been very helpful had the product description stated that these boots have a 14" circumference on the widest part of the shaft; my calves are 13" max, and as soon as I tried these boots on it was ridiculously obvious they don''t fit me in the leg (altho'' the shoe part of the boot is true to size)... These are excellent shoes. Easily the most comfortable ones I''ve ever owned. The fact that they come in wide widths is a great plus. Very comfortable, but far dressier than a regular sneaker. I wear these all the time, and I actually bought this pair to have in reserve, for when my current ones wear out. Highly recommended!

I''m an avid Allen Edmonds fan having a short (8.5) and wide (EEE) foot.Their shoes are quality value for the price. While more expensive than the average dress or casual shoe they are much higher quality than most of the competition out there. This particular shoe, a casual dress shoe, was a great fit and required no break in. I wore them all day the first day and the leather was very soft and supple but held it''s shape well.Great looks, great quality, looks awesome with jeans.You WILL get lots of compliments from chicks with these!Hopefully AE will keep this one in their lineup for a long time!

This is my first experience with Allen Edmonds shoes and I couldn''t be more pleased. The shoe is very well made and very comfortable to wear. I love the rubber front sole since it provides more comfortable traction. It''s a great shoe in the Chili Grain, I get a lot of compliments on them. This is an excellent shoe. A classic, conservative, proper dress shoe.Handsome, perfectly fit for a business casual office; comfortable enough for long walks to the metro station; and plenty durable. Though I''d have preferred a full-leather sole without the rubber inserts, the rubber inserts probably makes these a better shoe for my commute kinder on my feet during my half-mile walk home from the metro station.
A few things to note which explain the four-star (rather than five-star) review: the narrow fit and the stiff leather. I am a consistent 10.5D and had to go one half size up in these, and the 11D was still tight in the toe. This meant my toes got some nasty blisters during break-in. And while the leather is very sturdy, it is also quite hard this is not soft-calfskin! The leather takes a few wears to soften-up a bit.
But that''s water under the bridge. Now that they are broken in (with shoe-trees to expand the toebox), this is a brilliant shoe. The leather feels great, the shoe still looks sharp, and it all holds-up well. This is how dress shoes should be made. For $225, it is a value.
And when I wear these out in five years, I''ll send them back to AE to have the factory restore and resole them, buying a ''new'' pair of (already broken-in) Sanibels for $99. Brilliant.

I love these sandals! They''re comfortable and I love the way they look. The only thing I would suggest is to consider ordering a half-size smaller than what you would normally buy. I didn''t do enough research beforehand and I bought a size 8, which is the size that usually fits me best. When the sandals arrived I had to send them back for a size 7 1/2, which ended up fitting me perfectly. Just something to think about!Also, just an after-thought: When I called customer service about exchanging the sandals for a size smaller, they informed me that there was no exchange option available. I had to mail the original sandals back for a full refund and re-order the smaller size. By that time, the price of the sandals had gone up about $20. This is my sixth pair of Havaianas. I can wear these flip flops all day without being uncomfortable or needing more support. I even went outlet shopping and did not even think about my feet once while wearing Havaianas. I wanted to try the slim season version and am very pleased with the way they look. I am also especially relieved by the fact that these are as comfortable as my other pairs.I am always having problems with flip flops. I usually develop either a blister from the rubber rubbing on top of my instep or around the toes. Not these! They are very comfortable except that the sole does wear down if you wear them all the time like me. I am a fan for life. The color is beautiful, and they have a subtle shine. The thin straps do make them look great on your feet. I have gotten a lot of compliments. As soon as I need to order another pair I will be ordering these again, and again. Good Product.
