SOLE Thin Casual Footbed
After having great results with the thicker SOLE footbeds, I wanted to try these in a dress shoe without a removeable insole.This fits the bill necely, and the faux-suede finish is a nice, durable touch. My shoes are more comfortable than before, but the arch support of these is nowhere near as good as what I get with other SOLE footbeds. The whole construction seems more flexible and less robust not sure if the price is warranted in this case.
Here''s another wonderful feature: they make very thin models, like this particular one, which will fit into any shoe that already fits you.Example: I have a pair of ballroom dance shoes that fit perfectly--without an insole.They were expensive but I assumed I would need to buy a larger pair to use insoles--yet after the injury, I would only be able to dance for awhile with orthotic insoles.Enter these SOLE Slim Casual Insoles: they were so thin that they did not require larger shoes.
Another advantage: they are very stiff, so they slide in and out of shoes easily, unlike most other insoles which are floppy and difficult to insert without them bunching up.
They also come in thicker, more cushioned versions which are wonderful for sports requiring more shock absorption than ballroom dance--like basketball.
And...they''re pretty cheap, too!If you have arch pain, how can you not try these?I''d go even further: if you have arches that are at risk (either too flat or too arched) and are an active, athletic person, I''d suggest that you consider getting some SOLE insoles preventatively.They''re that good.
Also, if you''re active duty military, you have special requirements that the SOLE has been designed and tested for.

I now have two pair of these.I placed a pair in a new pair of sneakers and a new pair of shoes.The footbeds, as they like to be called, are a little hard, but I have high arches so I went with these because they are thin.Thin seems like the way to go in the cold weather as thick socks might also be doable.The downside of thin is the firmness.I am finding that these footbeds have me standing straighter and have redistributed the extra pressure I had been placing on the big toe area of both feet.I have also noticed minor occasional aches in me knees, possibly from pronation, have gone away.
I never tried a more cushioned pair of footbeds, and maybe they''d have worked just as well, and made me feel like I was on a cushion of air.My four star rating reflects, the shortcoming of the product, but I am 4 1/2 star happy, firmness be darned.At $40+ a pair, I''m not in the mood to experiment looking for the perfect footbed.I started with these, and I''m sticking with these.

I have this style of sandal in a few different colors, and I really like them.They fit nice and they don''t give me blisters, as most flip flops do.They''re very stretchy and flexible around my foot.I like that they look different from other flip flops too.The only thing I''m not crazy about is that if I''m not vigilant about keeping my toes towards the front of them, the front tends to catch on the pavement, causing me to trip...usually while I''m in the crosswalk surrounded by traffic.But I think they''re worth the infrequent embarrassment.Until I fall and break something, that is.Sorry to say that after wearing these sandals about 10 times, they have begun to fall apart. The "turquoise" stones are falling off and I don''t see any practical way of reattaching them.
These sandals were inexpensive, but should have lasted longer---very disappointed.

they take a little time to break in and the first few times you wear them they seem to rub off dead skin so you have like clumps on your feet, but once they''re broken in and stop rubbing your toe they are really comfy and really cute!!! with the shells and beads they can really dress up any regular old pair of jeans.

This is an excellent shoe. A classic, conservative, proper dress shoe.Handsome, perfectly fit for a business casual office; comfortable enough for long walks to the metro station; and plenty durable. Though I''d have preferred a full-leather sole without the rubber inserts, the rubber inserts probably makes these a better shoe for my commute kinder on my feet during my half-mile walk home from the metro station.
A few things to note which explain the four-star (rather than five-star) review: the narrow fit and the stiff leather. I am a consistent 10.5D and had to go one half size up in these, and the 11D was still tight in the toe. This meant my toes got some nasty blisters during break-in. And while the leather is very sturdy, it is also quite hard this is not soft-calfskin! The leather takes a few wears to soften-up a bit.
But that''s water under the bridge. Now that they are broken in (with shoe-trees to expand the toebox), this is a brilliant shoe. The leather feels great, the shoe still looks sharp, and it all holds-up well. This is how dress shoes should be made. For $225, it is a value.
And when I wear these out in five years, I''ll send them back to AE to have the factory restore and resole them, buying a ''new'' pair of (already broken-in) Sanibels for $99. Brilliant.

I returned these shoes. I need shoes that I can wear barefoot for water aerobics. These shoes had some kind of sharp seams and whatnot on the inside -I was not confident that those would soften up and go away over time. Also, these shoes were fairly loose in the back (and I ordered a half-size smaller than my usual size). I will keep shopping to try to find another shoe.

I was looking for an affordable shoe that would be great to walk around with during the summer, but also something that I could wear that was business casual for the work place. These were perfect and for the price they''re unbeatable! I am a big fan of Tahari in general and these shoes just add to that love. They are very comfortable!I have high arches and bony feet so wearing something with a high heel really hurts the ball of my foot. These wedges do not put your feet in an awkward angle making it a lot easier to walk comfortably.
I''m a size 7.5 and these are true to size. The straps do not cut in to the side of your feet at all. The heel is also at a very manageable height so again walking in the office or the city is not a problem. I highly recommend these shoes!

I first bought a pair of these for shower shoes when my plantar fasciitis was really bad.They have a lot of support in them.Then I found that they were much better than flip flops for going to the pool or beach.My first pair lasted a really long time, but needed to be retired.I am glad I found this new pair.They are relatively attractive especially in this wheat color.They work for both men and women with various styles.I have worn Okabashi''s for over 15 years.I am just wearing out my third pair.They slip on and off easily, and provide cushioning in the soles to make them comfortable.I have tried other slip-on items to wear around the house but have liked no other nearly as well.When I lived in a subdivision I used a second pair outdoors, but that is not practical in the partially sandy yard on teh six acres where I live now.
