Girls'' Daisy Sandal

This is the third pair of Squeak Me Shoes I have purchased for my child.If they offered any larger sizes I would keep going for as long as she will wear them!We chose the red daisy sandal this time around, and it wasn''t long before we discovered that the "squeak" in one of the shoes was damaged.It made a sound but it was rather... well... pathetic.The shoes came in original packaging, with the name and contact info of the American (North Carolina, I believe? Maybe South Carolina?) company on it.I called the company and my call was answered by a live person.I explained the problem and she offered to send me a replacement. A few days later I received an envelope with SIX new squeaks!When we replaced the damaged one we realized that we liked the sound better on the new one than on the other shoe so we replaced that too.

The shoes are well-built and stand up to a toddler''s wandering and foot dragging.Some of ours have spent significant time in the sprinkler and in dewey grass.The leather foot bed and uppers mean that her feet still smell sweet after a day in her shoes, unlike the stink we get from synthetics.I love that sandals make it easy to see how the shoes fit, and they are friendly to her high insteps.She could put them on and take them off herself at 20-ish months, yet another plus!The squeaks may be removed with a pair of pliers if you are spending time in church, at the hospital, or in another quiet place, but we appreciate these shoes most in airports, in shopping malls and at the grocery store.They give my girl the freedom to move while I keep track of her quite easily.Everyone working at the grocery store comes out from behind the counters to see her strut by!Be warned, though, at 24 months she has discovered that she can tiptoe without setting off the squeaks if she wants to go incognito!
