Clarks Women''s Harwich Middy Slingback Sandal

I have a bunion on my left foot...one that''s big enough to cause problems if I''m on my feet for too long in crappy shoes. I also have naturally wide feet. Together, this combo is the kiss of death when it comes to wearing anything with heels. Until I finally got smart and started buying "comfort" shoes. Once I realized not all comfortable shoes look like something worn by a 1930s hospital nun, I went crazy. The very first brand I discovered were Clarks. Which is funny because my dad, a football coach, has worn Clarks his whole life and, well, they don''t exactly scream style. But Clarks has come a LOOONG way. Take, for example, this shoe. It''s fashionable (cork wedge heel? check. metallic leather upper? check), flattering, and incredibly comfortable. I was a bit worried about the fit around my bunion but the leather gives nicely and, I suspect, will continue to stretch gently over time so said bunion isn''t completely smothered by the shoe. Frankly, I should just get the damn thing removed (the bunion, not the shoe). But until then -and even after -I will continue to buy Clarks. The only downer? The cost...but then if I hadn''t spent my 20s and early 30s stuffing my feet into cheap, poorly fitted shoes...perhaps I wouldn''t have a bunion to begin with. Will I buy these again? Definitely. These are my fifth pair of Clarks and I can''t get enough!

I too was looking for a fashionable and wearable shoe for the summer season. I had high hope for these after hearing so many people rave about Clark''s. I was disappointed. Theselook great and they felt great out of the box. However, after walking and standing in them for 8 hours I wanted to cry. They really hurt the ball of my foot. After I took them off I noticed that the ball of my right foot was bruised and it took several days for the pain to go away even after I stopped wearing these shoes and heels altogether. The insole is very cushy but does not seem to fit the contours of my foot. Perhaps I have a strange foot, I don''t know. I gave it three stars because it looks great and seems to be ok for going out to dinner. I was very disappointed.
