A couple of tips: don''t wear them to walk from a dirty hard surface onto carpet. The fibers in the carpet will pull the dust, gunk and hair out of the chenille and deposit it onto your carpet. That''s easy enough to avoid if you shake them out over a trash bin, though.Also, follow the manufacturer''s instructions and do NOT use fabric softener when you wash them. Softeners contain a lubricant that will ruin the chenille''s ability to pick up and hold on to stuff, defeating the entire purpose of using these things.
As to their effectiveness, I can''t say these things are miracle workers, since they don''t get up the crumbs my son inevitably strews on the kitchen floor whenever he eats. But they certainly do a great job on hair.
I have two cats, one of which is a long-haired thing, and I just don''t have the time to sweep our tile and hardwood floors daily to get their hair up. So when I ran across these slippers on Amazon I figured I''d give them a try, and I''ve been quite pleased with the results.
They''re also excellent on human hair, which is why I''ve now purchased a pair for my teenage daughter to wear when she''s fussing with her ''do in her bathroom.

I bought a pair of these slipper 1 week ago, and yesterday bought my second pair.They are terrific! Although the "shocking pink" color is a little unsettling at first I have learned to become color blind, so to speak.
I have 5 cats, wooden floors throughout my entire house, tiled kitchen floors, and a husband who patrols the whole place with a swifter by his side. However, since using these slippers, I have been able to just pick up cat hair, dust bunnies, and other particles just by walking over them. It is amazing. No effort, no spray bottles, no having to bend over and make sure I got every bit of dust and then having to go over the area again.These just pick it all up in their pink little rasta braids.
After a few days, I followed the instructions and washed them in my washing machine, hung them up to dry and was back cleaning the floors as I strolled around my home.
I strongly recommend giving these little guys a try. I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed unless of course you are attempting to clean up large items on the floor. But for animal hair and dust these are the best.

FitFlop Women''s Electra Sandal
I''ve found that when I wear shoes with a heel (even a platform low heel), my feet get this weird numb feeling, for days after wearing (scary!). That does NOT happen with these shoes. I can wear them all day and night long (walking, dancing, standing) with no discomfort whatsoever. Seriously, these are my "go to" shoes I wear them as often as possible. I''m picky about comfort and style and fit, and these shoes are perfect for me!I happened upon these (in black) at a local store. I was looking for a nice pair of black sandals. I love Teva Mush (flip-flops), and various Birkenstock styles, but they are generally very casual looking (not quite sexy enough). I tried the FitFlop Electra on, along with Sketchers of a similar style. Both were comfy (and close in price), but I noticed the FitFlops felt "right". I bought them and have happily worn them almost every day since (6+ months). They still look great (I do flip a few sequins back into place every so often, just so they stay lined up). They are still immensely comfortable. And, thanks to their design, I can wash the part where my foot goes, if needed!
These are dressy enough to wear in the evening in the summer or while on vacation, and can also be worn with jeans or a nice cotton skirt. But, they''re comfortable enough that you''ll wanna wear them around the house, with sweatpants and a hoodie!
Don''t be surprised if you find yourself looking to buy more clothes that will go with them, just so you can wear them more often ~ :)
Oh yeah, and they claim to burn more calories when you wear them. I want them in every color.
These sandals are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

CAUTION!! These shoes are addictive! These were my first pair of FitFlops and certainly not my last! Currently, I have almost a dozen (4 in this style, walkstars, hoopers, the boots, the clogs, the sneakers...), and, these original pair still look pretty good after two years and lots of walking, dancing, sauntering, jaunting, and some hula-hooping! I''ve got a few friends and family members hooked, too! One friend had severe foot pain and was due to have surgery for plantar fascitis, but then I got her her 1st pair of FitFlops, and her pain went away! And, my mom told me, "I THOUGHT I wore comfy shoes UNTIL I tried a pair of FitFlops!" She''s hooked, too! Caveat Emptor! :D

I bought these FitFlops about a week before I went to a conference in Los Angeles.I wore them around, broke them in (they don''t need much) and ended up wearing them all my waking hours.We did some walking, and I was happy.It wasn''t until my cousin and I went to Disneyland from 10 a.m until midnight, walking, walking, walking that I realized just how much these FitFlops really help.I walked for the whole 14 hour day and did NOT have horrible knee pain.--Three years ago I screwed up my knee trying to do a 5K.After that I walked 3 miles a couple of times a week (~an hour) for exercise and my knee would be sore.Sometimes I had to quit walking after even 10 minutes, the pain was so sore!But not so with the FitFlops, even after a super full day at Disneyland!Talk about awesome!
One more thing.I''ve had all these little broken blood vessels along my (high) arches for a while now, from being about 30 lbs. overweight.Well, the little broken blood vessels have disappeared since I''ve been wearing these FitFlops.I only bought them a month ago!My arches and my knees are so thankful for FitFlops!

I bought the Electra in Black which looks dressier than your average flop and I have been complimented on the style.The FitFlop runs big so even though I wear a 6.5 M in a normal shoe, I wear a 6M in the FitFlop.The FitFlop''s sturdy platform bottom gives you a bit of height and is nicely balanced so you don''t wobble or slide around.I don''t wear flip flops everywhere the way some people do I''ve seen people wear flip flops with formal dresses, which is an embarrassing fashion mistake.But FitFlops are great for casual and weekend wear. I have two pair of this miracle product.I have Neuroma in my left foot that forced me to quit my job. I have paid close to $400.00 in the past for Orthodics and shoes to help my problem but over time was no help at all.I live in Arizona where you can wear thongs year around, so after seeing this product on TV (Oprah) and reading numerous reviews on them I purchased my first pair and I was in a dream because I can walk for long periods of time with very little to no pain.There is very little pressure on the ball of my foot where all my problem is.Thank you for your Fitflops they have literally saved my life from a nonactive existance to being able to enjoy my life again.I highly recommend these sandals to anyone who has the same problem, you will love them.

I have tried all types of orthotics, orthopedic ugly shoes $$$ and couldn''t walk due to pain w/out limping. If you have foot pain, try these stylish sandals: Aetrex "Catalina" Gladiator with adjustable soft leather straps. There are several colors.These sandals have been the answer to my multiple foot problems. I wear these sandals all day & on hard tile floors. No break-in period needed & no hard bumps that cause pain.The footbed is so cushioned (with removable footbed with gel tiles, called "mozaic", that can be peeled off where you have painful pressure areas (I like the Mozaic footbeds the best, not all Aetrex have this feature). They also have a built in Lynco-support (check it out) with memory foam & nice arch support. These sandals have me walking normally, no limping & with ALOT LESS PAIN. The Soft leather straps are adjustable with velcro, which is great for my wider forefoot or can be adjusted to swelling/sizing. Occasionally, I have to re-adjust the straps.Walking with a limp, throws everything off, if my gait is not correct it leads to knee & low back pain, which I have noticed. Some Aetrex Sandalistas Sandals has a way of sizing called the "Last" (example a thick foot vs a thin foot).This sandal works well with most any size of the ''Last". I wear a wide C/D, but these are average sized, but works for me as to the sizing. I have had surgery for 2 Morton Neuromas on my left foot,metatarsalgia, mallet toe, plantar fascia & a high arch that is falling, resulting in severe chronic terrible painful foot that has limited my abilities to walk, etc.The only reason for telling you my foot problems was to tell you how severe my foot condition is & these sandals have helped me so much!They have helped me to walk without pain. People with severe foot pain understands there is a point if you find something that works, let others know.If I could give it 6 stars I would. This shoe is heaven for your feet. Good arch support that is flexible and molds to your foot. Top straps are easy with velcro and do not make your feet sore. This shoe is completely wearable, right out of the box -no breaking in period needed. True to size, average width. Beats Mephisto because they can''t seem to design a comfortable top for their sandals. Slightly feminine, not too dressy but not too casual.

This is actually my second pair of these sandals.I first purchased these in 2010 for a trip to India.They held up beautifully and were very comfortable to walk hours in each day.I have since worn these sandals during the summer months and just love them.I am a teacher and on my feet a lot during the day.These sandals have never hurt my feet like sandals from other companies & stores.My first pair was brown so I went online and now have a pair in black.They are just really comfortable and sturdy.Also, I have not had a problem with these sandals slipping off.I have noticed that many of the other adventure-type sandals out there now have a strap around the back of the ankle.I like not having the strap around the back of my ankle so I can easily slide in and out of my sandals (this was perfect for India where you always take your shoes off when entering a home).My feet are small for a woman (size 6) so there is not a lot of "meat" on my foot for shoes to hang on to.Despite this, these sandals stay on my feet in all types of terrain.I would highly recommend this sandal for any type of experience or occasion!

I have 1 pair of chacos that I like and I saw these on sale, and went for it. mistake. the straps are small and cut into your feet too easily, especially when wrapping around your big toe. I know how to adust chacos and I spent several minutes trying to make these comfortable, to no avail. they don''t look that cute either. not worth the money. I ordered these to replace my Z2 chacos that I''ve been wearing for 2 years. I really like that I can slip these on without adjusting anything, they look like chacos but feel somewhat like flip flops. The sole is great, supportive and not heavy like my chaco flips. I also really love the greens on this sandal. I don''t think I''d wear these for hiking because they don''t feel as secure as the sandals, but they look great, feel fantastic, and are super quick to put on. :)

I don''t usually write lengthy reviews on Amazon, but certainly shop with Amazon a lot. I first purchased a pair at a store in Columbia, SC, while visiting a friend. I had never heard of the brand. When I had worn them a while and realized how much I liked them, I decided to investigate getting another pair in a different color and checked to see if they were available through Amazon. The originalpair I bought in Columbia was black, the one I bought from Amazon is the same style shoe in brown. Besides being a really comfortable shoe, I feel very stable walking in them. Both straps are adjustable with velcro. Be aware that the stretchy elastic underneath the decorative medallions is black on the black shoe, but also black on the brown shoe. Fusion Unisex Toe Separating Sandals by Yoga Sandals, XXL: Women 12-13.5 Men 10-11, Brown
My wife and I both have pairs of Beech Quatro yoga sandals that we wear only inside the house on weekends, when we''re on our feet all day in the kitchen for ethnic cooking marathons. They really seem to be effective in reducing leg and back pain after long hours of standing. They''re "inside shoes" only. We''ve never worn them out of the house, because we don''t want to soil or scratch our tile floors with sand or stones picked up from outside. We had been meaning to get extra pairs for outside use for quite a while, but never got around to it. Then I found out about the new (as of Spring 2011) Beech Fusions, and decided to give them a try.The Fusions are quite a bit different from the Quatros, in appearance, construction, materials and fit. The soles of the two types are exactly the same size and profile, although the Fusions have a little more arch support (it''s barely noticeable, though). The Fusions have a hard, textured rubber bottom rather than the softer, smoother material of the Quatros. The strap of the Quatros extends along the side of the foot like a conventional thong, while the Fusions have a wider crosswise vinyl strap like that on an athletic slide. This strap is softly padded on its inside surface and fits very snugly, unlike the Quatros strap, which is quite loose on the top and sides. The toe separators are the biggest difference. The Quatros'' separators are made of elastic cords sheathed in black plastic tubing, which provide more separation than the Fusions'' much thinner rolled-and-stitched vinyl thongs. They still provide the benefits of toe separation, but not as much. On the other hand, the Fusions are easier to walk in without the slight awkwardness of the Quatros.
Bottom line: we''re very happy with both the original Beech Quatro yoga sandals and the new Fusions. The Quatros remain for indoor use only, since our cooking marathons do not involve that much walking, which is less comfortable than in the Fusions because of the greater toe separation. The Fusions are easier to don and doff and easier to walk in, which makes them our sandals of choice for shopping, running errands and other trips away from the house. Regardless of which one you choose, you will realize at least some benefits in terms of posture, stamina and relief from leg and back pain. I didn''t believe it at first (see my review of the original Beech Yoga Sandals), but now I do. They really work.

These shoes have a very thick sole, and are very comfortable. I bought them for my father since he has a hard time finding shoes with enough padding. They have made his back feel better after long days of standing at work on a concrete floor. They are skate shoes, so they are very durable with at least double stitching everywhere. The toe even has a triple stitching on it. These shoes should last a while since they are put together so well and feel so durable! Great shoe for the price!
