Jambu Women''s Burlington Boot

I''m going to California next week with an outing to Yosemite so figured I may need some snow boots while I''m there. Didn''t want some big honkin'' boots that would take up too much room in my suitcase, so thought I would give these a try. These are great little boots, emphasis on little. Love that they go about 2/3 the way up my calf AND that they have a stretchy, sweater-like top to them to keep the snow out. I''ve worn them all day and they are very comfortable. And not big clunkers as many snow boots are. And they''re cute as they can be with the flower inset on the heel. The only advice I would give would be to order a half-size up to allow you to wear some thick (and warmer) socks. I wear a 7, ordered a 7, they fit fine with "normal" socks, but might be a bit tight with thicker socks on. I couldn''t be more pleased with this purchase. Makes me want to order them in the olive color, too.

Pros These boots look good.The Sweater part at the top is snug around your leg so no snow can fall down into your boot.The rubber soles seam like they have good traction.These boots are partially made from recycled materials.

Cons They are not knee high, maybe on a shorter person.I bought the 8 1/2 and they come just above my calf and I am 5''7.The boots are very thin.They don''t seem to be very insulated.I bought these out of season and have not tried them in the snow yet, but I am skeptical they will be warm enough. They are snug and won''t be able to fit thermal socks in.Hopefully my feet will at least be dry.

If you are short and are looking for cute, lightweight boots for a climate that does not get a lot of snow, these are for you.I would never pay full price for these.I can''t even imagine why they cost as much as they do.They don''t seem like superior quality made in china.My advice is save the money you would have spent on these and get a better pair of boots.

I was really excited about these boots, but had to return them. I did a little water test, and the whole upper is made of non waterproof material. Maybe fine for just a light rain, but not a heavy snow!
