Positives: good pattern/fit, styling, and design

Negatives: lower quality leather (not bad, just nowhere close to premium), color very off from photos. Color was closer to #5E4D48 (94,77,72 RGB) than the "Tan leather" shown and labeled.

Overall decent buy at $65. I see the price has shot up to $125 have to say I would have shipped them back asap if I''d paid that much.

Typically I wear an 11.5 or a 12 (by comparison, my Timberlands are 11, but those historically run big; my Docs are 12; and I have a pair of Cole''s that are 11.5).

They only had these in 11 at the time of purchase, and I wanted them bad enough that it made sense to give it a run. Sure glad I did! They do fit snug, so I have to be mindful of the socks I wear with them (a thin pair of socks and they''re perfect; a thick pair of socks and my feet get clusterphobic). That said, the fit is great... and the comfort level is amazing! These are as comfortable as my most comfortable pair of Docs or Tims... easily!

And the zipper is great... it makes slipping them on and off a breeze. I ordered the Tan Leather ones and they''re actually slightly darker than expected. Not that that''s a bad thing... as I definitely wasn''t going for the goofy Lugz, yellowish-tan look. But they come in at more of a distressed brown than a typical tan, which adds character to the boot. And the wing-tip style design makes these just as perfect for a night on the town as they are for a stroll through the park. Very happy with this purchase.

I like these shoes a lot, but the very first time I laced them up, several of the eyelets pulled loose from the leather as I tightened the laces.

These boots are very comfortable after a short break-in period, and I didn''t notice any strange smell as some reviews have mentioned, just the smell of leather, which I do not find unpleasant. The only reason I didn''t give five stars is that I think durability is part of any product''s quality, and I haven''t had them long enough to evaluate that aspect.
