Very Volatile Women''s Davis Oxford

These shoes just arrived and are very cute.They do run very small and narrow (I normally wear 8.5 to 9 and ordered a 10B so I could wear thick socks with them), sadly I am only able to wear them with very thin trouser socks.Suprisingly they are comfortable despite feeling somewhat tight and stiff in the beginning of the day.I would have rated these a 4 but the smell they have is extremely strong (have to leave them out in the sun room and I am hoping the smell will decrease significantly in a few days).

Update March 19th (two weeks after my shoes arrived).My new shoe stretcher is solving the tight fit problem easily enough, never had to use one of these contraptions before as I do have narrow feet.

However, the very strong rubber smell of these shoes is not going away despite having left them out of the box.I cannot tolerate them being in my bedroom as the smell is so overpowering and as I sit here at work I''m told you can even smell them out into the hallway.I''m changing my rating to a 2 for this reason and if they weren''t so cute they''d be a 1.I am looking for options to decrease this rubber smell.

I get compliments on these shoes all the time.I''ve been wearing them for a while now and they are still a bit stiff, but they don''t rub.I have narrow feet and these fit nicely.The bottoms are a bit slippery on some surfaces.

The shoes look exactly like the picture.

I''m between 7.5 and 8, and I ordered them in 8 just in case they run small. I think these shoes are very true to size, there''s a bit space between my heels and the back of the shoes, which is what happens most of the time when I wear a true size 8. I was worried that they may be narrow from looking at the pictures, and I was right. It feels OK when I have them on while sitting, but when I stand, the widest part of my feet feel a bit snug. They might stretch out after wearing them a couple of times.

They are very comfortable, I don''t think I''ll need to break them in.

I walked around in them around the house, and I can already see the line forming on the shoes where my feet bend. But the material looks nice.

The bottom of the shoes is a bit slippery on smooth surfaces like hard wood floors and tiles.

One weird thing...The shoes smell like some kind of perfume. It''s not a bad smell, but I just don''t like it on shoes. It''s strong enough to smell it while wearing them. Hopefully it will be gone soon.

Overall, cute, comfortable shoes.
