this shoe was a huge hit with me! i went on a shoe-hunt of a lifetime for a shoe to match a black & gold short evening dress i planned on wearing for a summer vacation to a tropical resort & this shoe came thru with flying colors! i couldnt do a spiked skinny heel since i needed to be stable on my feet for walking around the very large resort at night but HAD to have a high sexy shoe with the dress. the longer you have this shoe on the better it feels-which is usually the opposite! the color is a true bright gold, not bronzy or coppery or dirty looking like some "gold" tone shoes. the dress i wore had a large gold sequined ring in the center of the back & i wore bright gold jewelry. when i walked across the lobby of the resort i could see & hear people admiring my shoes!!! as for size, they run 1/2 size small for sure. you CANNOT wear this style too big because they zip up the back-it has to be right against your heel. i was very skeptical about paying this much for shoes since i usually like to stay under $50, but these were well worth it. they seem to be very high quality-i will purchase more of this brand in the future. as for Amazon.com i dont even bother running around to the stores anymore. i just order a few pairs of shoes & pick what i like & send the rest back. who cares about a few dollars in return shipping fees-it still beats the price of gas & time spent! I LOVE AMAZON.COM!!!
