I had previously purchased another Aetrex style and came back to the brand. This shoe is very comfortable straight out of the box.This shoe is less stylish than the other one I have, but fine for work.
This is my first regular shoe from Aetrex (I had bought sandals before). I think it is great for feet that hate to be constrained from any side. The leather is soft and pliable. The shoe does not look like an orthopedic shoe and is best worn with pants. When I tried them on I could not get in because the top part goes way up toward your shin. I wish this part were shorter especially since I buy Aetrex for the arch support and if you have high arches your whole foot is taller so the height of the opening is important. Fortunately I discovered that there is another sole below the contour sole and so I took it out and so the shoes fit. I can hardly feel that there is less cushioning. I think, once I have broken in the shoes some more and the soft leather has relaxed, I might be able to put back that sole that I removed. I''m glad you can manipulate these inner parts of the shoe. If you want a shoes that fit like a glove... these will do it.
