Columbia Men''s PFG Drainmaker Watershoe

Every year we travel to the Guadalupe river to ride down it in an inner tube.The river has been very low the last few years and that means you must periodically get up and walk to the next patch of water deep enough to float in.I''ve done this many times in old tennis shoes, but the problem is the soles begin to come off in the water and regular tennis shoes are hard to walk in.I got these for a few key points.Number one: They look like tennis shoes.Regular water shoes would have served my purpose, but I just can''t bring myself to look that goofy!Number two: They drain water very well. The soles are some sort of perforated plastic and there is mesh below that that lets water out the bottom of the shoe.This makes it much easier to move through the water and eliminates the soggy shoe effect when you step out. Number three: These shoes have a toe guard which does an excellent job of protecting the toe and making the sole less likely to peel off.Lastly: The soles are adequately thick and grippy, so you can stand easily on slippery wet rocks.This is very useful when maybe you shouldn''t have had that last beer...Overall I have no complaints about these shoes.I''ve worn them on 3 occasions now and they still look pretty new.Note that the sole is white and will take stain easily, but that doesn''t bother me.Buy a pair with dark soles if it bothers you.

This are great shoes! I got them on 3/15/13 and I''m been amaze about the fact they are pretty light and confortable... I haven''t been out for fishing yet, just went to the river over the weekend and didn''t want to get them wet yet. since they are so new. after reading the reviews seems to be is a good shoe for kayak and fishing.

I''m currently using them to go out with a pair of jeans to enjoy the confort...
