Dirty Laundry Women''s Paxton Lace-Up Boot

These boots are the cutest I''ve seen this fall and winter. They are incredibly comfortable and true to size. I love the oxford detailing, which is easy to see on the lighter green color. I''ve received many compliments on them and I hope they last a long time as I don''t think I''ll ever get sick of these boots. And best of all, they''re faux-leather and suede and perfect for vegans like me.

I loved these boots before I even saw them -I had an image in my head of the perfect boot and these boots matched the image almost exactly. I ordered the black pair off of Chinese Laundry''s website because the price was better when I did, but I was immediately disappointed to find out that these are not in fact leather as Chinese Laundry claims on their website (Dirty Laundry is a subsection of CL), but are in fact man made materials. So it''s perfect for vegans, but I wanted real, durable leather and I''m not sure that these will last as long.

Amazon says that these are synthetic so I''m marking this review five stars, but if I could leave a rating on CL''s website I would give them 3 stars for false advertising.

**Edit: I contacted CL and they changed the website to say that they are synthetic leather. I have had these boots for about two months now and the heel is starting to collapse, as another reviewer has observed. I hope I can fix it with some Shoe Goo or by going to a cobbler and just getting a solid heel put on instead. I wish CL could have just made a better product in the first place--I probably won''t buy from them again. They did nothing to try to keep my business when I sent a complaint about the false advertising; they simply sent a return label. I love the look of these boots, but looking back I would have been happier paying more for a better-made boot from a different company.

Like many others said, there is no arch support. It feels like you''re walking on cement. Although Dr. Scholls fixed this problem. It''s true to size. They are very cute shoes, no doubt, but DON''T walk through a puddle with these shoes. I was disappointed to see that the sole of the shoe started coming apart because I walked through some shallow puddles on a rainy day. I bought crazy glue and glued it back together! It worked! They are cheaply made, but still cute!
