Globe Men''s Castro

Globe Men''s Castro,Black/Grey Tweed,7 D USIt is hard to find the right size as the Castros are hardly found in stores right now. I used to buy them when i worked for Zumiez and realize that they are a bit smaller than the actual size. Great shoes though!!

I bought these shoes for my husband for a Christmas gift. We both liked the look and style of these shoes. This issue I have with these shoes is that he wore them about 5 times and the stitching began to unravel. I can return them for a partial credit which is not acceptable to me as I paid for a product and expected them to be worn more than a handful of times.

Buy Globe Men''s Castro Now

Bought these recently and they''ve been a great, stable shoe. Solid footing and sized extremely well.

Had to go into hospital for an operation shortly after receipt and decided to throw these into my bag at the last minute. Smart move they really helped when recuperating by walking the corridors trailing an IV stand. Maybe not the principle reason one might buy these, but maybe worth knowing. Just out of hospital today and one of the first things I''m doing is writing this review.

Highly recommended

My son has worn three different pair of these shoes for over 7 years (besides other shoes he owns). They last forever and come in a variety of colors. They have some of the sturdiest outsoles around. One of the best things about them is that the leather cleans up so well, especially if you use one of those white "magic eraser" sponges.Even the all-white, leather pair looked brand new after three years of use, and they were worn A LOT!The cushioning inside the shoe is on the firm side, but more than adequate. The outsole is practically indestructible, so no worries there, but if you do wear out the INsole you can simply replace it with a store-bought (Dr. Scholl''s Odor Eaters, since most people like to wear these w/o socks). However, if you don''t want to replace the insole you can remove it and wash it in your sink with mild dish soap (Dawn works best if odor is a problem) and a small fingernail brush. Another thing... if the stitching starts to come apart along the outside (toe area), do not despair because it''s a very easy fix!Sew it up with a thick needle and some thick or all-purpose thread. Now how many other pairs of shoes do you own that you can sew up yourself? This happened to the first pair we purchased simply because they''d been worn for so long, and it was a pair that was not all leather -they had a plaid insert at the toes. The only part that eventually did wear out is the material behind the heel on the inside.Otherwise, I''m tellin'' you, these shoes will last until YOU get tired of them!

p.s. Let me add that I am reviewing the slip-on Castro''s by Globe. I''m not familiar at all with the tie-ups.I just ordered pair for my 17-yr-old.His older bro. (21) is the person this review was based on.
