I bought these for cold, rainy or snowy conditions so I''ll write again with results of this.I just received my Jambu Nomad boots in grey. They are exactly what I want. Love their look and they are very comfortable. Fit: I took the advice of other reviews and bought an 8.5, a half size up from what I would normally buy in a boot. I normally take a 7.5 in shoe and 8 in boots and sneakers. I never wear an 8.5, but I wouldn''t want this to be any smaller on my foot. Functionality: I plan on using them in the snow. I think they will keep my feet dry for the most part, but I am a little concerned that snow may get in. The tongue is only connected inside the boot up to the first 2 ringlets. After that the tongue is detached from the boot. I plan on tying them tightly and wearing the boots with my snow pants to prevent the elements from getting inside. So we will see after my first trip to the snow in them.

Terrible design flaw. The tongue of the boot is not attached to the rest of the boot. Down where the laces start at the top of the foot, all the way up the leg, snow, water, and wind can get right in to your socks. Fine if you never step outside.Too bad because it was comfortable when I put it on and has a great look, nice material, and good sole.Wow, these are some really CUTE boots.Where I live winter lasts 8 months and we get 500 inches of snow. So I was going out on a limb buying boots I''d never heard of.But they''re awesome. They do run small. I''m usually a 8 1/2, and ordered a 9 1/2. So glad I did.The leg shaft is a bit roomy, and I do NOT have skinny legs. They are light weight, yet seem warm. Super comfy too. We''ll see if they stand the test of time.I love this boot and got it at a great deal which makes me love it even more. For once taking the advice of others, yes, you''ll want to go up at least a half-size or be ready to return.
