Newport Leather Faded Clay Sandal -Ladies

My mother has admired my Keen Newports and I decided to get her some for Mother''s Day. The leather ones are so hard to find in a color I liked. Things seems to have gone the way of the H2s. I got her the Newport Leather in Rum Raisin/Plum Kitten. I''ve never seen a plum kitten, but whatever. The shoes are a really nice red-brown color that actually occurs in nature.

She says they are the most comfortable shoes she ever wore. She and my Dad immediately went out of town and did a lot of walking and they needed no breaking in whatsoever.

I did really well for Mother''s Day. She will probably wear them several times a week.

As for mine, I have had them for years. They show a little wear, mostly a slight "maturing" of the color compared to Mom''s. They didn''t stretch out, I love the stretchy no-tie lace, the sole is not separating and hasn''t compressed much. The stitching is intact. I have been through water and mud. I will soon order another pair, but considering how much I have worn them and to have them still be serviceable is pretty impressive.

For anyone who has ever started out on a nice dog walk and has ended up chasing said dog through the woods for an hour, these are the perfect shoes for you!

After years of being in the bush I have finally found a shoe that not only holds up but holds but holds the wearer up. Great traction and even better foot support. My whole familyhas these shoes as well as all my staff. Get them wet, run them in the mud, no worries, they hold up. Love these shoes.

Beyond a doubt this is one of my all time favorite shoes.I must admit to having four pair of them.They are comfortable in the extreme and almost impossible to kill.I am extremely hard on shoes and spend most of my time off the beaten path (literally).I have had no problem with these shoe/sandals what-so-ever.As bad as I have beaten the main pair I wear, the still took good when I hit civilization.

The sandal has several features I love and the toe caps are at the top of this list.I tend to run into things and with regular sandals I am constantly stubbing a toe, or indeed, cutting one!No problem with these shoes.They give the ends of the toe plenty of protection.

As with another reviewer here, I had no problem with sizing and ordered my regular shoe size (of which I am not about to tell you what it is here), but trust me, they fit.

I walk over some pretty rough and varied terrain and am completely satisfied with the tractions these shoes give.Even over loose shale and rather slick creek bottoms, they hold me up well.

I love the no tie stretchy lace on these.They are fast and efficient.

They clean up well.

Most importantly though, these shoes are simply comfortable and extremely functional.Also, you cannot beat the price they are asking here.I paid a heck of a lot more for my first two pair.

It must be noted that these do pick-up sand and dirt but to be honest, I have never owned a pair of like shoes that did not...it is in their nature to do so.
