While I love the look of this shoe, I''m not sure it will stand the test of a extended walking. The shape of the toe box is a bit narrow and (at least for my foot) seems to be angled a bit oddly. The look, however, of a low-cut vamp is so hard to find, I''ll enjoy wearing these when long walks aren''t necessary. The coloration (blackened gold) lends itself to dressier occasions anyway so hikes aren''t anticpated.
