I have to say that I do like this product a lot but there are a few drawbacks. There are lots of straps and what not that I had to figure out on my own because the promotional material was not yet available when the pack was given to me.
The pack fits nice with very comfortable shoulder straps and back padding. It has two standard sized pockets for water bottles that are inconvenient but not impossible to reach. The top pocket is removable and forms a very large and awkward fanny pack.I usually use it as a shoulder bag for two reasons: one, men should never, ever wear fanny packs and two, it is enormous.
The inside of the main bag is accessible in two ways. The bottom area has a zippered front access. This is presumably for a sleeping bag or tent.It is separated from the remainder of the main pack by a pull string closure that can be left open for more convenient packing. The upper part is accessible through the top opening. There is a larger interior pocket at the bottom of the bag.It also is set up for a hydration system but I have not yet used that feature.
The one drawback I have with this bag is the absence of any smaller partitions either inside or outside to organize smaller objects. On my shorter trips it gets annoying.I am working on making something to remedy this before I go on a major trip that I am planning.
Seeing as I got a really good deal on this one (free) it is hard for me to complain. Thanks Jansport, your equipment is always reliable and I will keep using it well into the future.Amazing but didnt fit, I would recommend 1/2 to 1 size larger than you normally wear. The sizes runs small. These were supposed to be a backpack and were returned. The return was easy and I was able to find another option.
