Jessica Simpson Women''s Evette Platform Pump

I ordered the shoe in "Tarnish Gold" in my usual size (6 1/2).When they arrived, I was impressed by the quality of the shoes.Very pretty design and I particularly liked the texture the Amazon pictures show it very well it''s a nice antiqued-gold, shiny but not too bright/gaudy.

The design of the platform half-gold and half-black makes the platform less pronounced and gives a daintier look while still making the heel-height very manageable.

Now, for the bad news: the toe area is so narrow that, for me, the squeeze was too painful to bear for even a minute.Although the shoe is leather, I think the piping along the edges may not be...although the edging looks good, it didn''t appear to have any give to it, so it seemed like no hope that these would ever "break in" to fit.

I tried ordering another pair a half-size up (7) and while that made the toe area acceptable (still tight but could deal with it) then the rest of the shoe was way too loose, with a good 1/4 inch between my heel and the back of the shoe.

I''m wondering if the toe-squeeze problem is more pronounced in my smaller size than it would be in a larger one. Just from the fact that the size 7''s toe area was dealable, while the 6 1/2 was unbearable (My feet are short, but they''re regular width.)So maybe if you wear a larger size you''ll find this shoe works for you.

Purchased this shoe in Blue Ink and it is so stunning! The blue pops and the black seems to even accentuate this further. Great fit and seem quite comfortable. As per almost every Jessica Simpson shoe I own, extremely pleased with purchase. Also, the price on Amazon cannot be beat!
