I have wanted to purchase these sandals for a year now. However, they were too costly for my budget on the other sites...over $120. I found them on Amazon for less than $50 and was so excited I had to have them right then. I have tried them on before and really love the look. These look great on and are quite comfortable. The heel height is just right for me, stylish without killing my feet. The shaft opening is perfect too, I can stuff skinny jeans in no problem, but they still fit under bootcuts. I originally ordered the taupe color but the toes were overburnished for my taste (they looked like dog noses on the end of my feet, lol) so I sent them back and ordered the black. I am now very happy with the color the brown straps give a cool contrast and create more color-match options with the rest of my accessories. These are amazing boots, and I wanted to love them, but they were not depicted accurately. I was expecting a dark, chocolate brown for the brown suede pair that I ordered. However, the boots were actually more of a reddish or auburn than chocolate brown. It almost looks like the colours are reversed for the ''chocolate leather'' and ''brown suede''. Or perhaps I got a one-off mistake in shipping, although the boots I received were DEFINITELY suede and not smooth leather.They fit true to size (I am a narrow size 8, in every shoe I''ve ever tried), the buckle/strap is really cute, the heel is the perfect comfortable height, and the suede is good quality, but the reddish brown just doesn''t work for me. These are comfortable, very attractive shoes, but I''ve only had them for a few weeks and the belt has already started to look a little worn down. Certainly was not expecting this for such an expensive pair. They also fit a little bigger than standard sizes, so if you''re trying to pick between sizes, go with the smaller. As another review stated,this shoes arrived broken. The piercing piece of the buckle is barely attached and comes right off when attempting to fasten the shoe. The shoe is very pretty and rather comfy, however with malfunctioning buckles it is an accident waiting to happen. Funny thing is I complained to seller who says the shoes are purchased directly from store,and another shipment was mailed to replace it. This pair arrived the SAME exact way as the first pair. I told seller about this and how its not an isolated complaint and the response was a return label. They have no interest in investigating this defect or pulling the shoe. Do yourself a favor and find a better made shoe!

Now, for the bad news: the toe area is so narrow that, for me, the squeeze was too painful to bear for even a minute.Although the shoe is leather, I think the piping along the edges may not be...although the edging looks good, it didn''t appear to have any give to it, so it seemed like no hope that these would ever "break in" to fit.
I tried ordering another pair a half-size up (7) and while that made the toe area acceptable (still tight but could deal with it) then the rest of the shoe was way too loose, with a good 1/4 inch between my heel and the back of the shoe.
I''m wondering if the toe-squeeze problem is more pronounced in my smaller size than it would be in a larger one. Just from the fact that the size 7''s toe area was dealable, while the 6 1/2 was unbearable (My feet are short, but they''re regular width.)So maybe if you wear a larger size you''ll find this shoe works for you.

First of all, I ordered a navy pair of shoes, and the Nutmeg colored pair arrived.The box was marked and coded "Navy," so someone switched shoes to a different box.I didn''t mark down the shoes for the mistake, although that was one of my reasons for returning them.First of all, the shoes looked really long, right out of the box, and after struggling to put them on, I discovered that the initial impression was right:these shoes are really long for their listed size.I felt like a grade school kid having to grow into my shoes, as I pressed down a thumb on the shoe''s toe and noted that there was almost an inch of extra space. Very unattractive.
Putting on the shoes themselves was difficult.The leather in the heel was not reinforced with whatever most shoes use to reinforce the heel counter.The result was that the heel smushed (technical term) whenever I tried to put on the shoes.It was frustrating, to say the least.
Once I got the shoes on, I was more than ready to remove them, because the footbed was dead flat, like strapping a board made of rubber to the bottom of my foot.This is my fourth pair of Propet shoes, and none of them had this quality. There was no arch support (obviously), and would fit best on people with completely flat feet, assuming they could get the things on in the first place.
To me, the Propet name means quality and comfort.These shoes have neither, which was sad.They''re on their way back to the Amazon.
