Bought same sandals last year and wore them from CA to OH and back plus the rest of the year until cold weather.They are the best fitting and most comfortable sandals I have had in a very long time.I have a lower back problem so I have to be very picky about the shoes I wear.I love the fact that they have an adjustable strap high over my instep so they fit snug on my feet and the heel is soft enough that my back doesn''t ache.

I purchased a pair of the Birkenstock Bombay Thong sandals in the beige color at a retail store on clearance. I really liked them and was very pleased when I found another pair in black on Amazon. I have plantar fascitis and can no longer wear flat, unsupportive shoes. These feel great on my feet, no pain even after hours of walking. I like the velcro adjustable strap, good for those hot Texas days when my feet swell and I need a little more room. Very cute and unusual style, always receive compliments when I wear them. My husband even noticed and said he liked them!

After a 3 day music festival, I had a rather interesting tan line on my ankles and feet. It didnt really matter because that''s all I was wearing!!

I''ve worn Birkenstocks for years (yikes...decades!) and consider this one of their cutest styles. Same great footbed. Glad it came in the regular/wide width ("open" foot indicator on heel). As others mentioned, I removed the plastic cover from the piece that goes between the toes...more comfortable. I wear a size 8W and always order my Birks in EU 38. For those not familiar, they take awhile to break in and mold to your feet. Ah, but once they do....they''re bliss. I have numerous pairs of well-made shoes and while my Birks may not be the prettiest, they are definitely the most comfortable and noticeably reduce my sciatic pain. Ordered the beige and will probably order the black.
