#1.Chaco''s are great shoes.The hip thong is different than the other types that run the straps through the tread.The hip thong is not adjustable, expect for one of the brown straps.Not sure why they thought this was helpful.I have the zx/2''s and love that they are custom fitted to my foot.If I need more toe space, I just adjust them.Not here, the colored strap can sometimes leave a mark on my foot.Also, the sizing is different.If you were a 9 in the zx/2 you will want a 10 in the hip thong.I had to return and size up.Which brings me to:

#2.USE A DIFFERENT STORE.Planet shoes does offer free returns for sizing and such on a purchase amount over $50 (I think).But they are soooooo slow.Worse....no communication during the process.I had to wait nearly 6 weeks to have the correct shoe, I had to instigate 2 emails to find out if they had my shoes, and if they were processing either a return or replacement.They just didn''t care to email any communication.Received, Processing, Mailed...things we are all use to by now.

Great shoe, different sizing, bad store!

I love these sandals, that is why I am buying a second pair.My Plantars Faciitis was severe, but it is all but gone and I wear any shoe style I want, but if I do start to feel discomfort I just slide these shoes on.Anyone who has dealt with PF knows that you have to wear shoes 24/7.Hopping out of bed for whatever reason and slipping this sandal on is easy and so much more convenient.Plus, I live on the ocean and have a boat and they are perfect.I wore my first pair constantly for 3 years and they are still going.

I just read the review that said the straps don''t go through the tread, so i went and checked my 3 pairs and my wife''s 3 pairs of Hip-thongs. All of ours adjust the slimmer strap that makes the X in the middle of the shoe.We love our hip-thongs.

This flip flop is pretty heavy for a flip flop but with the second strap it really allows more versatility.I don''t recommend hiking a ton of distance in these because of where the back strap comes across the foot, it tends to rub above my arch after about a mile, but short distances they do just fine.Most of the time i wear these around town with the X-strap loosened and they work great as casual flip-flops.

My favorite part about these is that if you strap down the mid-foot strap you can wear them into a river.With most flip flops in a river setting you squeeze your toes together to avoid loosing the shoe but with these i don''t have that unsteady feeling like all the other flip flops.

The one downer to these is they leave a gnarly tan line, you get a flop flop V mixed with a X in the middle of your foot.
