Because of the lack of reviews on Amazon, I did a search of other stores to find out about this slipper.Most reviews agreed that it was a well made slipper, beautiful leather, and comfortable.It was also pretty clear that the stated size was about a size less than the real size.Given those reviews, I ordered larger size.My foot is narrow to medium and is between a 10 1/2 and 11.I normally wear size 11 shoes.So I ordered a size 12 in this slipper.It''s snug, but comfortable and is stretching.An 11 would have been way too small.The previous reviewer may have had one or more of 3 issues one, he may have ordered his shoe size; two, he may have a wide foot; and three, he may have a high arch.These slippers are somewhat narrow fitting, despite their outward appearance of width. Also, the tops come up high on the foot and would likely be uncomfortable for someone with a high arch.

That said, they fit my foot and are great slippers.The soles are tough and perfect for the trips outside on the deck or to the garbage cans.

AWESOME! I have had a similar pair of UGGS, and now, I believe I got them too big. I have had them for 6 years, they have been great. I just assumed they were a size 7, so when I ordered this new pair I chose size 7. Then started reading the reviews about them fitting too small and not true to size. I checked my old ones, and, in fact they were an 8. I was so disappointed at the thought of finally getting these and then having to turn right around and ship them back. I read more and many people said they need to break in. Having had my other pair, realizing they were a bit too big. I decided to stick with my 7.

I wanted to make sure that I purchased a shoe/slipper that ran true to size for my grandson who lives in NY.So after checking several stytles,(some ran small for their size) I decided on the Sheldon in his size 13.Since he wears a lot of different colors I was just delighted to be able to get the black.They are made extremely well with a nice thick sole that can pass for shoes.The inside lining of sheepskin is wonderfully thick and the outside leather is of top quality.BEST OF ALL IS THAT THEY WERE ON SALE FOR A GREAT PRICE.AMAZON HAS HAD GREAT UGG SALES SINCE JANUARY OF THIS YEAR .

These slippers are extremely well made and fit exactly to size. For those who expect to slip their feet into the slippers and have them feel loose and stretched out right out of the box, you won''t find that. These are well made slippers. That means when you put them on at first they will feel snug. That is the way they are supposed to feel. If you aren''t feeling pain, only snugness bordering on tightness, don''t worry. In a week or so, the slippers will have formed a supportive, warm cocoon around your feet. If you want a sloppy loose feel, you should maybe buy rubber clogs. These slippers fit exactly. Give them a couple of days. Let them mold to your feet. Don''t be afraid of a well made, well constructed pair of slippers.

Having said they are well constructed, I have only one caveat. Although every other part of the slipper is sturdy and strongly made, the sole seems to be the point of planned obsolescence. In photos, from the side it appears the sole is thick and durable. That''s kind of an optical illusion. The actual sole, the part that hits the ground, is thin rubber barely thicker than a surgeon''s glove. The thick part that appears in photographs is actually the felt-like cushioning that is between the rubber sole and the slipper''s leather. One can only hope the sole lasts longer than it appears it might.

I give these 5 stars based on their own merits, although I would make them a 4 star in comparison to the slippers they replace. My old slippers, a pair made by Norika''s --a Spanish firm-were the most comfortable, longest lasting slippers I''ve ever owned. They were a cross between excellent moccasins and a fine shoe. Unfortunately, they are not available anywhere the width and breath of the United States, and I did not want to deal with currency exchanges and paying more than $130. So I will wait to see if I ever return to Paris before I look for Nordika''s again. In the meantime, this pair from UGG suits me just fine.
