These shoes are wonderful, I normally wear an 8, but decided to go with an 8 1/2 and they are a little large but not unbearable. They are pretty comfortable wearing them hours at a time. the only complain I have is that on the strap the glitter comes off very easily because it rubs, but no one sees that part of the shoe. these look possibly more classy than in the photo.i wanted something slightly (but not much) dressier than birkenstocks and with a lot of heel padding, to wear to work in the summer.the leather is really smooth and nice looking.they were a little more stiff (mostly in the sole) than i expected, not sure if this will be a problem or not.i have not worn them except to try on, because it''s been really cold. after i wear them to walk 2 blocks to work and to teach all day in, i will then post more details.
I bought these in the Sand colour, a terrific neutral beige that goes with everything. I can''t tell you how much I love them. They are perfect in every way except one: no arch support. I have several Ecco sandals and they all have this problem. I stick in gel arches, which last a summer or so, but with Ecco''s superior footbed you''d think they could throw in an arch support too! I actually purchased these for my 77 year old mother because she has very narrow feet.They fit her perfectly and the heel is just right.The only issue is the ankle strap; but that just takes getting used to.They look very sexy on her.LOL

The sandals themselves were great. I love Birkenstock and was excited to see the great pricing Amazon had on these.BUT...I received the wrong size, regular when I wanted narrow. I''m not sure if it was a simple mistake or if the stock person doesn''t understand Birkenstock''s sizing. (The colored in foot or open foot on the footbed of the shoe representing narrow or regular.)When I returned the sandal for the correct size they said they were out of the size I originally ordered.It''s unclear to me weather or not they really understood the sizing.I will be hesitant to order Birks from Amazon again.Although, the return process was easy and I did receive my money back.I''m just curious if they did have more of the correct size in stock if I would have received the same size or the correct size.The quality of the shoe is excellent, receivingthe correct one, questionable.

I have these in black and I absolutely LOVE them. They are very comfortable considering the heel and I can stand in them all night. These are no where near as comfortable as the tasman & boots I have purchased in the past.I have a pair of tasmans I bought for my daughter in 7th grade (she is now a junior in college) and I have taken over possession of them.These are so very comfortable to this day, the new ones are like walking on two cement blocks.
