Even though I bought these shoes for my sailboat, I soon found myself wearing them everywhere. They are so comfortable, no shoe laces to deal with, they breath extremely well, they dry super quick, they have a thick removable inner sole and they do a reasonable job on a wet foredeck. The instep is a bit tight for me to get them on (not unusual for my feet, but still I think most people would find them very snug) but once on they are quite comfortable and are definitely not slipping loose. I have owned from 2 to 4 pairs of Top-Siders continuosly for over 30 years, wearing them daily for casual sports, sailing (really), and because of their comfort and the fact that the soles do not pick up any debris I wear them as house slippers as well.
