Like all Birkenstocks, once they break in, they feel great! At first. the strap hurt the top of my foot. They feel a little heavy because there''s only one strap. But, i was looking for a slide with more support than a flip flop. They''re easy to wear and a great color. The onyx is kind of a steel gray/blue color.

Very comfortable and far more stylish than traditional Birks! Great buy! I love this color...works with black, grey, or blue well. Perfect with jeans.

I already own a pair of thesegreat slide sandals in black patent.That first pair are wonderfully comfortable, with excellent support for the foot,slip-on, slip-off ease, anda non-clunky ;The icy pearly onyx is, to my eyes , a slightly blued sort of grey, with a low metallic patina.Nothing that shouts, so I thinks they''ll be a nice neutral.Good with jeans, fine with black or olive or....These do make the slightest bit of noise, flip-fop style, if that would bother any of you who must walk in absolute silence.On sizing, I''ll offer this: in an ordinary sandal I wear an 8.5 medium.In these, though, a 38 narrow gives me a perfect fit.My foot is probably a little on the narrow side of medium, though, and i suspect not everyone with a medium width foot would want or need to order the narrow in this Birkenstock.I look forward t wearing these often.It''s not sandal weather here yet, but they are in use already around the house.

About 5 years ago, dr. told me to quit wearing flip flops, so I bought my first pair of birks.To this day, they are on my feet as soon as I''m out of bed in the morning.I bought this new pair because the style is much cuter than old pair, and the pearl onyx goes with everything.I can just slip these on to run to store, and my daughter said she isn''t embarrassed anymore! Lol. The color is just as it appears in picture, and the comfort is the same as my old ones.

Was very excited to see the Madrid sandals available in different colors this year, as it is very difficult to find them in the medium width in something besides black or brown. I ordered the cockatoo teal color from the Road Runner vendor in my normal 40 M size, when they came I was so excited because the color was beautiful. I put them on today and THEY ARE NOT MEDIUM WIDTH AS AMAZON HAS THEM LABELED!!! I was sent the narrow width, the shoes are almost half an inch narrower than my four other pairs of Madrids. I thought maybe it was my mistake and I ordered the wrong size but Amazon does not currently offer any of the three colors (teal, lime and pink) in narrow so either the vendor sent the wrong width or Amazon mislabeled the width on these colors. If you need the narrow width in Birkenstocks you will love these, if you were thinking you would be getting the medium width like I did, you will be very disappointed.
