The front is elevated a little in proportion to the heel, so not as awkward feeling on the foot as it may appear at first glance. Super cute with jeans and I would buy them again in a heartbeat. I purchased them off bonton (great price!) and am very pleased with quality, feeland look of these boots!!

I absoultely love these shoes. They are nice and comfortable. They are true to size (for me that is size 7). I still used a cushion for the ball of my foot and I still have room. They do not fit tight.

I purchased these for water aerobics class. The negative reviews regarding the traction (and safety) made me hesitate a long while before purchasing them but they are EXACLY what I''m looking for in a water shoe for class -a flat/mary jane style shoe that would give me some traction and protect my feet and toes from the rough pool floor. But I wanted something light and flexible so I didn''t feel like I was wearing sneakers in the pool. They''re a good brand and the price is excellent for water shoes. They feel great -skin tight but comfortable. They stay on my feet underwater and out. The insoles are removable (and yet not a bother while I''m working out). They dry really fast too. There are great water shoes! I LOVE them!I wear a standard 7.5 shoe but I ordered the 7.0 thanks to the helpful reviews and they fit perfect. I got them in Ocean Blue and the color was just like it was pictured.
Regarding their slipperiness: Any shoe used on a wet surface that is flat (and shiny), like tile, will be slippery, even sneakers and bare feet. My club''s pool has cement-like floor but has some line tiles as well and the shoe still gives me traction on those. Even walking across the basketball court or the tiled floor in the locker room, they feel rubbery and I feel traction across the floors. Of course I walk carefully, you''re supposed to when you''re dripping water onto the floor you''re walking on.

The first reviewer must have been wearing them on a textured surface or something. They were fine when the surface was bone dry or when I was on carpet. Once I got them wet, though, all the physical properties of the sole''s grip changed.
In the two swim classes I wore these shoes to, I fell from standing upright to flat on the concrete four different times between the locker room and the pool edge and lost my footing in the pool itself too many times to count. My hipbone still hurts from the impact with the tiles.
I took these back to the store I got them from, warned them that they might be OK for beach wear but were a hazard in indoor pool settings, and picked out a type with a different sole texture. (From my comparison at the store, these and the Speedos with the zipper on top have a very similar sole plastic and texture, and the pull-on ones with the drawstrings have a different texture. Here''s hoping the different-textured ones turn out less hazardous to wear around wet concrete and tile.)

I was very hesitant to buy shoes online because they never seem to work out. I bought these in a size 6 (my usual size), in aqua and it fit perfectly. If you have wide feet, the material is stretchable enough to accommodate for that. Physically, it is a gorgeous shoe and very, very comfortable. We took it whitewater rafting and it stood the test of class 4/5 rapids. My girl friend got hers in black/pink but I think the aqua one was much prettier. Look at the bottom of the shoes to compare their designs-the aqua one is definitely more detailed.

The sole is great. The back zip keeps the shoe on snug-not appearing to cause any friction or heel rub. But the heel itself is narrow on the bottom, so its a bit strange to walk in. Basically the heel feels like a high heel would, but then your foot is nicely surrounded by an Earth shoe feel-so it an odd feeling.

BEARPAW Women''s Brandy Shearling Boot
What can I say. My third pair of Bearpaw boots and I will keep buying. They are my all time favorite and last very long, are super cute, true to size and WILL keep you warm. I dont know why anyone would spend the extra money on UGGs. These boots are perfect and I recommend them to anyone.I wore these boots and yay, warm feet. You feel the warm, soft shearling that lines the boots too, it''s all great. But, the higher quality shearling is on top, where your hands would touch, then as you go down towards the inside/bottom of the boot, the shearling decreases in quality and warmth-ability. So, there were times when i had cold toes and was utterly unsatisfied. Then came the snow and the wet concrete. Well, when I walked on the wet ground, the lovely sponge-heels absorbed all the moisture, the low quality shearling by my toes absorbed it too, and whammo, my feet are now cold and wet.
These boots are more suited for fall weather, and dry weather. I do love the pattern though, and they are comfortable, but if only the quality was a bit better.

I love these boots. I think that they are unique than the typical ugg type boots. They are very comfy and warm. They were more grey than the picture shows. I was worried about my calves fitting into the boots because I have wide calves but it fits fine.

These are amazing boots.No leaks and warm. Might run a tiny bit small so order 1/2 size up for comfortable fit.Phenomenon#1: Based on the suggestions in other reviews I originally ordered a size up (I''m an 8.5) and the boots were HUGE. I even own two other pairs of (leather) boots in size 9 so I know it''s not atypical for me to find boots that fit when I round up to the next full size. So based on my experience I would say that these boots run large and that half sizes should size down, not up. The size 8 that I exchanged them for has plenty of room for multiple pairs of socks.
Phenomenon #2: The soles on the size 9 boots were not black as pictured, the were a light brown rubber color. Since I had to exchange for size I luckily got the black sole boots the second time around. I''m not sure why there is that discrepancy or how to avoid it, especially since it''s not even an available color choice.
And now for these boots: They are great! I live in NYC so I do a lot of walking, and most shoes just don''t make the cut for comfort, but these do. Nice and squishy, lined, and I feel like I could walk ten miles in slush and my feet would still be warm and dry. I can see why people have complained about these cutting into one''s ankles, but I wonder if they''re not wearing socks or something weird. On bare skin, these would be uncomfortable, but if I am wearing these it means it''s cold/rainy/snowy so I definitely have on big thick socks, so no issues there. (But I also have average sized ankles. I do not recommend these for wide ankle folks!)
Overall, they do what they should and don''t look as bad as a lot of other boots out there that do the same thing. Still wish they were a little cuter...

Was very excited to see the Madrid sandals available in different colors this year, as it is very difficult to find them in the medium width in something besides black or brown. I ordered the cockatoo teal color from the Road Runner vendor in my normal 40 M size, when they came I was so excited because the color was beautiful. I put them on today and THEY ARE NOT MEDIUM WIDTH AS AMAZON HAS THEM LABELED!!! I was sent the narrow width, the shoes are almost half an inch narrower than my four other pairs of Madrids. I thought maybe it was my mistake and I ordered the wrong size but Amazon does not currently offer any of the three colors (teal, lime and pink) in narrow so either the vendor sent the wrong width or Amazon mislabeled the width on these colors. If you need the narrow width in Birkenstocks you will love these, if you were thinking you would be getting the medium width like I did, you will be very disappointed.

However, who makes a lace-up shoe with absolutely no way to adjust (tighten or loosen) the elastic laces? Duh! I have worn shoes with similar lace designs with a cinch buckle or clasp to adjust the fit. Without this mechanism, this shoe is essentially a slide or a loafer. These are just about the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I am a warehouse manager so, I''m on my feet quite a bit. These shoes are the next best thing to wearing slippers to work. They also seem to be very well made. I expect they will last a good long time.
