Birkenstock Milano Sandal

I buy a new pair every few years.I pretty much live in them.My only complaint is that the footbed gets grimey after a while if you don''t clean them regularly.I think I only have myself to blame though.

One note, the size chart on this page doesn''t match the size chart on the manufacturer''s site.The chart on this page looks wrong.I wear a 45 birk and a size 12 sneaker (US), not a size 14 like the chart on this page.

I have been wearing the Milano for about 18 years.I did need to replace them once during that time because they were just worn out.It was probably possible to get them repaired but I felt they paid their dues.When you first get them they will stain your socks, and the leather is hard, but once they get broke in they are the most comfortable shoe you will ever wear.I occasionally get foot pain from running or wearing cheep shoes during the week.I will wear my Birks for the weekend and all of my pain is gone by Monday.I highly recommend.I am in the military and am forced to wear combat boots to work, but if Birkenstock sold combat boots I would buy them too.

If your footbed gets dirty, you can use liquid laundry detergent and scrub with a stiff brush and they will look as good as new.You will be surprised by the dirt that washes off.
