We have purchased these shoes for our three-year old for wearing at preschool. The shoe looks super cute, did not have the typical Crocs'' plasticky smell and is running a bit small. Our son is a 9 to 9.5 size and the size 10 will not fit him for long. That''s that. Now getting into the shoe is not that easy as the "heels" are folding down once you try to get the little feet into the shoes. So you have to fumble a bit to retract the heel from inside the shoe. That is a bit time consuming. Then a personal issue: while at school, the other kids found it rather funny to untie the laces and the teachers had to tie the laces all the time. So he is now wearing these shoes only on the weekends, when we have plenty of time to get ready and nobody will untie his laces. Conclusion: I will not buy another pair of these, but the crocband sneakers instead. We had two of those already and I wanted to try something new. However, I will refrain from laces until my child can tie them himself.

I ordered a pair of these when my son''s school sneakers decided to malfunction 2 months before the end of school. To be honest, the main reason I got these was the price, since I didn''t want to shell out funds when I know in two month summer vacation will be here and I''ll hardly be able to get my kid to wear shoes anyway. But aside from that, we have owned "traditional" Crocs in the past, so I felt good about the brand and had reason to hope that they would be comfortable. I also knew my son would think they were "cool" ... He''s 6 and the red laces were really a no brainer. He specifically wanted shoes with laces, which surprisingly are no longer the norm in his age group. He was excited to be able to tie his own shoes but his last sneakers had the weird "bungee" tie (which is what broke, incidentally, leading me to buy these). Anyway, so far so good. They seem true to size. The toe box is very roomy, which is great for my wide-footed son. I am excited about the Croc footbed, with no smell-absorbing insert. This seems like it will be a good sneaker for summer-wear, if something more substantial than flip-flips or sandals is needed. They are just canvas atop a Croc bottom, which seems like it would be cool enough for summer wear. I would not use these for winter wear, but spring fall should be okay. I think this shoe could even get wet and dry out easily, given the Croc bottom. I wouldn''t use them for water shoes, obviously, but if he were to slip in the creek or a puddle I think there would be no harm. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend them.
