This shoe is excellent quality in every way. Beautiful and very comfortable.

I usually wear more orthotic shoes (I have bunions and other joint issues in knee and back)but these shoes are very comfortable.

Because of the other reviews, I went down in size, but for me, this was incorrect. I had to re-order another size a 1/2 size up. (I range in different sandals between 8 and 9, but most often 8. In this one, I needed 8 1/2, maybe partially because of bunion, but length was almost too short)

I am so grateful to the customer service because they refunded my money promptly (on the sandal that was too small)on this return. I dont even think they took shipping out.

Caution: be careful when trying these on in house and stay away from any possible moisture, even a drink, a pet or slightest drop, near sinks, etc..

The soles are beautifully crafted leather and will show any contact with water as a spot. Not bothersome at all if you''re keeping, but a concern if you need to return. (Although with this customer service I don''t think you should have any major concerns at all, you can feel very confident) The colored leather on top does not get water marks, just the sole.

I will purchase Gentle Souls again.

These sandals are stunning.Recently took them on vacation to Hawaii and wore them straight out of the box.Very, very comfortable.Beautifully made perfect stitching, etc. Fabulous color more like a greige than straight grey. Can''t wait for summer to arrive here so I can wear them again. Highly recommended.

I have several pairs of Gentle Souls shoes. They are truly the best shoes I own and one of my go-to brands. Comfortable and durable. These are the first I''ve returned, and only because of the odd way they looked on me (they were as comfortable as always). But with the way the two thin straps criss-crossed on top of my feet, they looked... orthotic is the word that comes to mind. I felt instantly aged, which is not the way to a lady''s heart. So back they went.

I bouth these sandals in grey in a 7.5. I usually wear a 7 or 7.5 and figured since these had the enclosed back, I had best opt for the bigger size. I could not wait to get them! They looked SO cute.

But drat. the 7.5 was too small. I almost had to shovel my foot in it, and I have a narrow foot. Also, I could definitely feel the floor through the footbed. I had thought that with all the padding that was advertized with these sandals, that they would be comfortable to walk in even if they were flat. There is a separate heel piece and a separate forefoot piece glued to the sole of the shoe. I thought this would make the walk softer but it did not.

So, I was saddened but had to send the shoe back! I thought about reordering right away in a size 8...and I do believe and 8 would have fit fine, but I kept thinking back on the click-clack of the footbed hitting my tile floor. So far I have not reordered.

I have had bilateral knee replacements; hence, am super sensitive to how hard or soft the footbed of a shoe is. I think if I were not working with this glitch, I would have reordered in a heartbeat. Gentle Souls does make two different footbeds. The other type is softer than this type and I have two pairs of oxfords with the other footbed. Wish these had it, but they do not. Ah, well. Can''t have it all sometimes. I give these 4 Stars because they have the harder footbed and because they seem to run a half to a whole size small. Otherwise, they are beautiful, and if you are blessed with more normal knees and legs, I think they would be a heck of a buy and I would have a pair. We shall see, but for now, I will get their sandals with the thicker footbed!
