These shoes are gorgeous. They are a dark stone/taupe/grey colour. The details are remarkable. Suede is of great quality & has a noticeable nap with a touch of sheen at the toe & along the back of the heel. The heel is dark metallic like hematite not silver; also the heel is super thin. Platform is nice & thick with rubber tread & then wood grain that is so appealing. The ruffle is adorable not as pronounced as in the photo, which makes it seem larger than it really is.The underside of the ruffle is fine black leather.The interior lined with leather & has a completely padded sole with extra padding @ the ball of your foot.Extremely well made & comfortable.Sizing is right on. I am a 9, sometimes with a high heel or pointy toe I go to a 9.5 but these 9''s fit fine not tight or pinching. Won''t require breaking in.May need gel liner @ back of heel after the stretch a bit.Can''t wait to strut around in these.

**update, after wearing I found these shoes a bit big! I had to put heel pads along the back & cushions in the ball of foot to keep them from slipping off if I was wearing hosiery with them.They are gorgeous however! And comfortable, but next time I will go down a 1/2 size or even a size with this brand.They fit very well in the toe box, but are long out the back of your foot.

I love these shoes, I get so many compliments on them.I''m glad I readother reviews though because they do run big. I ordered a half size smaller than usual and they fit perfectly. they are also extremely comfy since they are very cushioned.

My main reason for buying this shoe was the heel. I loved the look. I purchased both the black and the taupe. The black was too monochrome, so I didn''t keep those.I wear btwn a 6.5/7, and ordered the 6.5. They still slipped off my heel. A heel pad should do the trick. The sole of the shoe is rugged, but they are oddly feminine even with that detail.
