Mephisto Women''s Helen Thong Sandal

Unlike the other reviewer, I was able to try on a pair of these shoes at a local store many years ago and did not have problem with sizing. I purchased my first pair of Helen Mephistos in town and when the time came to replace the first pair, I found the replacements on Amazon.My second pair are the black patent and they look pretty sharp...casual, but sharp.With a good manicure, they are ok for business casual dress code.

Of note is that my first pair were brown and it seems that the brown colored footbed would stain the soles of my feet if I wore them all day.This doesn''t happen with the black patent sandals which have a lighter gray colored footbed.

I bought those as a gift for my wife & she claims they are the best sandals she''s ever worn!They are comfortable & stylish, highly recommended.My only caution is that they are made small so i would encourage you to order one size bigger, especially you are a half size (if you are 7 or 7.5, order a size 8).

This is my replacement pair.After about 3 years of wearing them and treating them badly, they finally wore out.I love these shoes!I have plantar fasciitis and need the arch support that these shoes provide. Actually, most of the Mephisto brand is very comfortable.

I have been wearing mephisto Helen for a few years now. I own many colors. It''s my absolute favorite, go to sandal.

I have bunions and sensitive kneees and back. The support & comfort is incredible. This style hides my bunion but doesnt hurt it. The flesh tone minmizes imperfections even more. & I think it''s a great look since I wear a lot of bohemian and yogic clothing.

If you need the thong portion softer, just rub very vigorously between fingers, rough it up and it will soften, otherwise, it will soften over time.

This shoe will last a long, long time.

My first pair was white and I purchased about 3 years ago. I still wear them. However, being in Fl., I exposed them to moisture, and the cork has begun to rot or fall out just a little. So now I treat cork with a natural cork treatment or a moisture block spray. Other than untreated cork in sole , I think these shoes would last a life time.

These sandals are comfortable right from the box.I wore them all day without any trouble.I have plantar fascitis and a heel that sinks slightly on the outside edge of one foot which can cause knee pain.My feet never hurt and my heel and arch felt stable all day long!I usually wear a 6.5 (37) but went down to a size 6 (36).The 37 seemed a bit too long but I have short stubby toes.You can''t go wrong with these sandals!
