That''s what I did, so I could put a gel pad in the shoe and on the back of the heel. I did this, because they don''t have a hidden platform, and the added cushion always helps to make shoes more comfortable.Beautiful shoe. I ended up returning this though because the color is actually a deeper rose than the pink I''m looking for. The heel is pretty high and with no platform so I''m not sure I would have been too happy at the end of my evening. I figured that $200 was too much to pay for a shoe that wasn''t just right.

Spenco® Heel Cushions
I first purchased these heel cushions from my podiatrist after being diagnosed with Plantar fascitis and heel spurs. What a difference! It doesn''t look like much, but it certainly makes my life much easier! I can walk pain free! I own a Pet Sitting business so I am on my feet just about 12 hours a day. I found them on Amazon for about $2 cheaper than what the Doctor sells them and I order them a few at a time. Only downfall is they don''t wash horribly well and wear out quickly.I have relied on these Heel Pads for for many years and have them in all my shoes and boots. I have tried every device for heel pain I could find and this is the only one that works for me.
TIP 1: to keep them in place in my shoes and boots, I place them under the shoe''s regular insole and they don''t move around at all. In the past, I used double sided carpet tape (Home Depot)to keep them from sliding around, but I prefer the under the insole method.
TIP 2: What works best for me since I don''t need the entire length (in fact they are too long for me), I cut each of the two heel pads into two pads, that way I get four heel pads instead of two. Using sharp sissors, I first cut them to length, then trim and shape them to size. I made a pattern from heavy paper and trace the shape with a permanent marker onto the pad. I save the pattern for when it''s time to replace the pads.indoor soccer court shoes always have very thin cushioning.

Adding this heel cushion is a good way to have that extra cushioning at the heel.
By adding this below the insole, i can feel its cushion effect without it slipping around or feeling it.

I have had two pairs of these and they do have a super comfy foot bed it is so soft and comfortable however I have had been slighty disappointed in longevity and functionality of the shoes.

Unlike with many thinner and harder flops, I can walk all day in these. As others pointed out, buy 1 size larger (i.e., buy a 10 if you normally wear 9). Edit: After a few months of wearing these, I lowered my star rating to 4 (was 5). Really wanted to like these flip-flops, as they are as comfortable as can be just standing in them.But the day after wearing for an extended period, the bottom of my foot hurt.After recovery, I tried again with the same result.No more for me off they go to the thrift store.Also, due to the cushy foam layer, I would not recommend using near or in water they act like a sponge and dry in about the same length of time.No fun walking around on a wet sponge...

This sandal originally came out in Spring/ Summer of 2010.I loved this shoe the first time I saw it. However, when I tried to purchase it , it was completely sold out in all stores. I have been wearing nothing but REEF sandals in the summer for over 30 years.I find that they are the best made, longest wearing, most comfortable sandals I''ve ever owned, and I have had many different styles throughout the years. I liked all of them.My first pair lasted 20 years, until there was absolutely nothing left between my feet and the pavement and I had to grudgingly get rid of them.
Since then, I have had platforms, wedges, pink camo, all sorts of them.My masseuse was wearing a pair of the "Slap" ones, and when I tried them on, I thought I had died and gone to sandal heaven.They are like having little pillows on your feet. (Well, maybe not quite THAT soft, but still..).She is on her feet for at least 8 hours a day and wouldn''t think of wearing anything else. I can see why.I bought the Lucia and Slap models, and have been on a quest to snap up any others I can find since they don''t make them anymore.They are wonderful.And like all other Reef products, very well made.
The only downside is that with the white ones, they show dirt pretty quickly.My solution is just to stick them into some dishwater, soak them for a bit, and scrub them with a little nail scrubber.Anything with bristles will work.It just takes a few minutes, and a little while longer to dry.I guess you can also throw them in the washer, but they clean up better if you take the time to put a little elbow grease into scrubbing them yourself.
Reef stuff is never cheap, but you get what you pay for.If you want a good quality product that will last at least several seasons, this is it.If you know what particular style you want, and can take a few minutes on the internet to do a search, there are a number of places that will sometimes have them on sale.It helps if you know the particular style you want.And for those who have never tried reef sandals, just be aware that there are many different degrees of comfort depending on the model.Some don''t have any "soft cushioning" at all, and some are really nice and soft when you walk on them.So it''s kind of a trial and error thing depending on the squishiness level you want.But again,they are all well made and will last forever. (almost)

I can honestly say without these shoes, I never would have had the opportunity to play for the Dodgers. I highly recommend these shoes!I''ve been a fan of Converse Chuck Taylor "Chucks" for years and always have several pairs on the go but these PF Flyers, I tell you, are even better and I am definitely a new fan now.Just like the Chucks, they are the ''old school'' high-top style with the canvas uppers, rubber toe cap, rubber bumpers and rubber sole.I bought the navy ones but will also get some in the other colours, too.They are incredibly comfortable to wear because of the built-in arch supports inside the sole which distribute your weight more evenly than a regular pair of sneakers.I wear these everywhere except the office and get compliments all the time.The canvas and the rubber have a bit of a strong smell which offends some but, personally, I kind of like it.Reminds me they are on my feet!These sneakers are definitely NOT to be missed!And, more over, you can''t do any better at this price.

I find Chucks too narrow and uncomfortable. These have a bit more width across the area of the ball of the foot, and that makes a tremendous difference in fit and comfort.Plus the insoles really do add extra padding and support, and they do shift your weight to the outside of the foot, making them comfortable to wear for much longer.

The other reviewers are correct the PF Flyers are basically very similar to high top Converse sneakers except better. More comfortable (but not quite as comfortable as your Brooks marathon trainers they can''t perform miracles) largely because of the snazzy insole inserts and overall better shape of the shoe. Converse high tops used to make my outer feet hurt but these PFs are comfortable; were so from first wear. Colours and designs are more retro hip than Converse. I got a pair in navy and another in the cool brown/yellow stripe combo. They are 1950s small town old school style rather than contemporary ''urban'' hip, they go well with jeans, vintage shirts etc i.e. indie/rockabilly/swingster vibe. Front of shoe has a vertical ribbed bumper bar on them that is the biggest difference to Converse high tops some might not like it as much but I actually prefer it to the Converse shoe... adds to the old school feel. Sizing: I went 0.5 sizes up from my normal size and they fit well. I don''t usually write reviews, but I felt that these shoes deserved a good one. They are way way better than Converse in my opinion: Better construction, more durable, slightly heavier and they don''t fall apart. One of the highlights of their construction is the fact that the point where the rubber trim strip meets isn''t in the heel of the shoe like converse, but rather on the inner side of the shoe. I love this because I can''t tell you how many times the rubber strip meeting points come apart because of inevitable scuffing of my heel in All Stars. Bottom line: These are classic shoes that deserve the revival they have received thanks to New Balance and I''m sure they will be around for a long time.

As soon as I saw these wedges online I had to have them. I just received them today and I love how they look. The only thing I''m kind of not too happy about is the size. Amazon was much cheaper (~$30 difference) than New Balance''s site for this shoe. I''m VERY glad I purchased it. The elastic connector on top of the shoe (apex of the U-shaped leather) works wonders for comfort. The arch bed and support underfoot has a little cushion but is firm enough to last a long time. And it came in Wide width!!! Aerosole has finally designed a near-perfect little black flat. This took me through Amsterdam for over a week with no break-in period, no dye-marks on feet, either. They are soft, fit very well, and have just enough wedge heel to cushion cobblestones and other uneven hard surfaces. The perfs help ventilate feet, and keep them a little cooler.I am very pleased that Aerosoles now has "W" shoes -I like their styles but have always found the M width just a shade too narrow.
These shoes fit true to size. They are well made with the right amount of support and comfort for a flat!! I do recommend these shoes for casual summer days.

My main problem with these, is that they are really uncomfortable to wear if worn for more than 2 hours I''d say. They have no shock absorbency at all whatsoever, and I wear heels all the time, so I know what to expect when wearing heels. I wore these out on Halloween and they were ok that night, and then I wore them to the clubs in Cancun another night, and I wanted to die. My feet were killing me by the end of the night!
