However, although these resemble Sorel pacs, they are not.They do not have the insulation of a traditional Sorel pac boot.They''re fine for commuting or sustained activity in mild winter temperatures, but they do not stand up to colder conditions.

At first when you put on this pair, it will alarm you.It feels tight, very much like the tightness that you will feel on a pair of shoes that will hurt your feet after 5 min of wearing them. However, after a few moments of panic, you will realize that it is due to the cushioning not only in the bottom of the shoes for support, but all around.It feels almost like stepping onto a memory foam mattress. That feeling continues all day long without hurting your feet anywhere.These boots are comfortable, has great arch support and most of all it is super good looking. I can wear them under boot cut jeans or with skinny jeans tucked in nicely for a leaner look.

This shoe is beautiful and I was super excited about them. They fit pretty true to size (maybe a little on the smaller side) but my issue is that the zipper is SO LOUD. When zipped, the zipper kind of rattles and it''s like a bell is tied to your shoes. I saw someone wearing them unzipped so maybe that''s the way to go?

My daughter loves these sandals, and was very opinionated about choosing them again when she grew out of the first pair. As usual, I am impressed with the quality of stride rite shoes. These are great for wide little feet (especially ones that are thicker from top to bottom). These hold up to a beating and I love the velcro closure.

I first purchased a pair of these over 13 years ago. They lasted about 9 years, I am on my second pair & I wear them daily. I even purchased a pair to wear around the house as slippers. As a lifeguard/aquatics person they are the best water proof sandals one can buy. There is no cloth to get stinky, they float, and when you throw them at the misbehaving children it doesn''t hurt them. But seriously, what more can you say about a shoe that makes you go AHHH when you put them on.I''ve been wearing Birkis sandals Pacific for t least 5 years but I should say "living in" them for that time. I wear them all the time and almost everywhere. I''ve had a lot of surgery on my feet and these are just about the only shoe that is comfortable even right after surgery!

i was attracted by the design by the first look, very feminine and elegant! I tried the shoes in store first, then bought it here (great deal at amazon!). Amazingly, this pair wears very comfortable. You cannot simply imagine how can a 4 3/4 height be comfortable, yet this pair is! the insole has the best curve to align your feet. You may feel a bit awkward when wearing them, if you never wore stilettos in this height, but you can practice by walking on carpet on your toes without shoes first. You''ll get used to it. After all, the shoes don''t hurt your feet, they''re comfortable, just that you need to get used to the height.I don''t agree with the other reviewer about "the toes part tilts upwards". That design is for your easy walking! Since it has about 1 inch platform, if it''s not tilted slightly, it''ll be hard for you to walk, you will have to step up and down the whole foot. When you walk, you need to pull up your heel, move the center of gravity to your toes, but with platform, you cannot simply do that, that''s why it''s a bit rounded. And the picture is accurate, it''s not rounded like a ball that you cannot walk. If you cannot walk, that means you don''t know how to walk in stilettos with platform, I''m sorry to say this. Even Nike is doing such rolling design for their walking shoes, check out Nike''s rolling rail technology. Note that Nike is even flat! I personally have a pair of Nike''s walking shoes with rolling rail design. And believe me, that''s rolling much more than this pair of guess stilettos. This is nothing comparing to that.
The peep toe opening can be bigger, that''s my only concern. The height of the shoes will slide your feet downwards, and the peep toe opening is a little bit small. But of course, that helps preventing your feet slide off the shoes.

I love Birks... this purchase is replacing a pair of black suede Arizona sandles that I wore and did not take care of this winter!I do own over 30 pairs of Birks all different styles and types...
However, this is the first pair of "soft footbed" Birks I have purchased and WOW! what comfort! They appear to be identical to my old pair but that little layer of foam in the footbed makes a wonderful difference. I have been wearing them to walk on my treadmill every evening instead of my "sneakers". If I have a choice of traditional footbed or soft footbed I will always pick the soft footbed when I puchase any pair of Birks from now on !

According to the Birkenstock website, narrow is a North American equivalent of normal so if your width is normal order the narrow. The sizes are true to size so you can''t go wrong ordering online. If you''re unsure of which size to order, order the smaller one. I''m usually a size 7.5-8 and I ordered the 7-7.5 size (38). The soft footbed is great for me since I have flat feet and now I wonder why it took me over 10 years to replace my first pair.
