I just received these slip-ons and love them. I was looking for a pair of nice beach shoes besides my flip-flops which always fill with sand and hard to walk in. Plus, I wanted something I could wear without socks and don''t really like the look of some of the Sanuk type shoes. I already have a pair of the Cushe loafers, but they have fur (felt) on the inside and aren''t made for no socks in the summer!
These Cushe UM Slip-On''s are perfect for the cause, light canvas and really comfortable. Plus, I can also fold down the back and slip them right on.
On sizing:
As I said, I already had a pair of the Cushe loafers (size 8) which are a bit tight, but not bad. So I figured I''d order the same size. I generally wear a 7.5 to 8 (almost all my shoes are 8). So I ordered a 41 in these, they were slightly too big. So I returned them for a size 40 (7). Perfect fit! So I would suggest if your main purpose is to wear these without socks, keep that in mind. Returning was simple and they even sent the new size out and arrived within 2 days of me filling out the return info.
I bought these to take on a beach vacation so I would have something besides sandals to wear.My experience was they are extremely light, comfortable, provide excellent cushioning, and even look very nice.
As I was getting ready to leave on the trip I noticed that I could wear these either as slip-on loafers or push the backs down and wear them as clogs.They are just as comfortable that way, maybe more so.And, as clogs, slipping them on or off is effortless (though they somehow manage to stay firmly attached to my feet while I''m walking."Clog mode" is good for getting through airport security and also while I''m on the plane.Turns out that I wind up wearing them that way most of the time and it''s nice to have the option.
As for sizing, I''m a 12.5 EEE and the size 46 fits perfectly.
BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews can take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I wanted a slip-on shoe that I could throw on to step outside for a few minutes, but something sturdy and comfortable enough that I could leave it on all day if I choose. I''ve only had these shoes for about a week, but it seems like they''ll be just what I want. They''re light weight, have good support, look good, and they''re comfortable. I can''t just step into them, though. I have to use two hands to put them on, but that''s what I wanted. One reviewer didn''t like that the heel on the sole is slightly rounded. That did feel a little odd at first, but, for me at least, after wearing them a few times it felt like it the soft sole either flattened out or I didn''t notice it anymore. Another thing I''d note is that I have a wide size 12 foot, so I usually end up wearing a 13. A size 12 fits me perfectly. It''s snug, but wide enough to be comfortable.
I''m a fan so far. If they hold up well I''d definitely get another pair.
