Bought these for a trip to El Lay I was taking. The footbed conforms to your food and they are extremely comfortable. I personally had no issues with between the toe chaffing...the thong piece is very smooth. Seem true to size, although are wider than your foot. But, I look at them something like those mattresses that conform to the body, and I think the extra width is needed to accomplish this. I''m toying with getting a 2nd pair. They''ve become my go to flip flop and around the house shoe.

These shoes are absolutely adorable, and the colors in the picture are true to what you''ll find when you receive the package. I will warn you though, they are INCREDIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE. I wore them to a gala that included dancing, and after 3 or 4 songs I had to take the shoes off. It is now two days later and the balls of my feet are still incredibly sore. These are not dancing shoes! I would advise wearing them out to dinner or something where you''re not on your feet all night like I was. I have worn many heels before, but honestly these are waaay more painful than I''ve ever experienced.

We live in Texas so during winter time I always purchase my 3 & 5 yr olds a pair of boots for the season. These boots have held up much better than 2 other brands I''ve tried in the past. I bought these for a nutty reason, the color.I wanted a pair of subdued green running shoes and there''s hardly anything out there.Anyway I''m a lifelong runner and the idea of a retro-themed shoe based on a track spike caught my interest as well.I''ve always liked minimalist shoes and racing flats.However I didn''t know if these shoes would be real running shoes or fad/fashion "walking around in" shoes.To my delight I really like these for running.They have a glove-like, soft, conforming fit very comfy.The front of the shoe is extremely flexible, no pronation control whatsoever and almost no cushioning.So if you like or need forefoot control **don''t** get these.The rear of the shoe doesn''t have any fancy cushioning system as in most current-generation shoes, just simple blown rubber(I think that''s what it''s called anyway).So, similarly, if you want or need rear cushioning **don''t** get these. This shoe is kind of like a barefoot trainer in that it provides a thinnish sheet of rubber between you and the ground to protect against stones and pebbles but not much else.The heel drop is very low, I measured the heel thickness at about 15 mm.The shoe form is very straight, not much curve at the front.I weighed the shoe and it came in at 7.9 oz (size 10) which falls into the range of a lightweight trainer, not as light as a true racing flat which can weigh in less than 5 oz.I ran in these shoes on an indoor 200 meter track today at lunch and they felt really good smooth ride.My times stayed in the usual range for a 5K noon run so they didn''t slow me down or speed me up.I''m accustom to training in light shoes.You also get a bonus with these shoes, two complete sets of shoe laces, one black and one orange.I''ve never seen that before.

Bought these in black for my oldest son as part of the ''back to school package'' we parents endure every year. He''d been asking for the same old, boring Jordans'' or Timberlands his friends have but I bought him these instead. He was a little disappointed in my decision until they arrived and he was able to really SEE the shoes. The images here don''t do these justice, I knew THAT as well as what the quality would be because of other RL Polo boots I own. Although these are a little more rugged than my Hamlin boots, these have the ''standard'' toe reinforcement that my older RL boots but in addition these have a reinforced heel area. They''re not at all waterproof nor does the description claim they are so that''s fine. They are however water resistant which, for a hiker, should be the minimum standard imo. I bought them 1/2 size larger than his current shoes so they''ll go on for the duration of this Fall, Winter & hopefully Spring. After wearing them the first couple of days he''s stuck on wearing them every day. They''re loose on him of course, so I added an insole and a ''finger'' of tissue paper at the tips on the inside for a truer fit, as the months go by I''ll remove the insole and tissue if need be. I have two reasons for rating these 4 stars and not 5. The first is that the label says ''leather upper'' but it''s only partially leather. The other is that the strap & buckle are ''faux'', they don''t function but rather sit on a velcro pad that''ll deteriorate fast if undone often.
