I love the quality of Circa Joan & David. I liked the colour too, actually more silver than taupe. Unfortunately the shoes are too big, at least one full size bigger. I usually wear 10 but these are 11 I think...
I was looking for an alternative to a straight flat and this was perfect. I got the Taupe (which is really more pale gold in person) and it is a great neutral color with just a little shine from the gold cross stitching. Extremely comfortable and a nice, flattering look on the foot. I''m going to get them in black too, I think. A note on size, I listened to other reviewers and went down a half size and I am glad I did. They definitely run just a tad big.
