I have lived in espadrilles for 20+ years now, and I was very happy to add this elegant version to my collection. If you also know espas, you will understand when I say that this one is comparable to Andre Assous, even perhaps a bit better quality. I will warn that, unlike Assous, this one runs about 1/2 size larger and that the back strap slips a little if you have a narrow heel as I have. The bone color is lovely, and the straw sole appears durable. The leather feels soft, like lambskin -again very much like the Assous, as is the price range. I hope this doesn''t sound like ''espadrille code,'' but if you know the brands you will know what I mean.

Shoes are very comfortable. The leather is very soft and I can stay in them all day. Runs about a 1/2 size big but ok.

I ordered the shoes based on other people''s good comments. The shoes look good but hurt my feet so much as the design doesn''t come with good arch support.
