Excellent! The footbed has ''vegan'' stamped onto it so I feel confident that it''s actually vegan. Straps are kind of fuzzy, more like fake suede than fake leather. Footbed lining is very soft. Wore these all day, walked at least a mile my feet are still happy.
I wasn''t sure at first if they would break in the same as my old leather ones (pre-vegan and eco-conscious), but they have broken in quite nicely, if not better. I am thrilled that they made these shoes although I am very sad to see they are out of production, get them while they last!

i loved these when i got them, and was very happy to finally have vegan birks.They were comfortable, and quickly melded to my feet. However, they started falling apart within two months. Within 4 months of use, they were in pieces and not wearable. I called Birkenstock, and they refused to stand behind their product.
