AK Anne Klein Women''s Gauge Boot

I was so excited to get these boots! I am tired of retail stores, and the hassle of shopping there. My husband warned me that he didn''t think it was such a good idea to buy something like shoes online, but I didn''t feel like braving the mall. These look great, and fit very well everywhere except around the calf. The product descriptions should include this measurement. I am a dress size 8, so pretty average. My calf measures 14". I read a few other reviews, thinking perhaps I have unusually hefty calves, but I don''t think so. The boots specified as "large calf" were more like 17 and 18". These were not just a bit tight, they pinched terribly, even though there was probably a 1/2 inch bit of elastic to provide a little stretch. Then when I went to return them, Amazon said that since the mistake was not their fault, I would have to pay the shipping both ways! Worst part: my husband was right!

I acutally really like these boots. They fit well and are a little tight on my calf actually, but I know with leather it will stretch. The heel is ideal because I walk a lot. The one problem is that they are not knee high at all. I''m 5''6 1/2" and I really wanted knee high boots, but I may keep anyway, because I do like them.

The gusset at the top of this boot lets it expand to get your foot inside, then fit snugly while zipped.The boots look terrific and fit great on your feet.I usually buy narrow shoes, but this boot in medium fits me well.

girl, I always wear them and usually don''t find dress boots too comfortable but these surprised me. They are so cute. I was worried about it being tight on the calves after reading reviews but they were fine. They were a little tight when I put them on with my leggings but they have a little stretch and they were fine.

4 STARS because I ordered a half size up and fits perfectly. So its not really true to size.

Classic style with not too much flash. Would go with a lot of outfits. I got the black and I have narrow calves so its a little big big around the calves for me. It also bunches a little bit around the ankle area, which i didn''t particularly care for.

Its a good basic black boot otherwise, that i hope to get a few good years of wear out of.
