The photo makes the shoe look nice; not quite the classic look I recall my father wearing, but close. But nothing could be further from the truth, it turns out. This is the cheapest looking, shoddiest shoe I''ve ever seen. Please note that I''m no expert on leather (patent or otherwise), so I''ll take Stacy Adams'' word for it that the uppers are actually made of leather, but to hand and eye they feel and look like plastic. Had I been less enthusiastic to own a spectator-style slip on, I''d have been suspicious of the "croco print" terminology. By "print" I suspect they mean "machine embossed," although I''m not conversant with shoemaking terminology. Whatever. The stitching is poor, and the edges where black overlays white are frayed, and the "penny strap" is actually a solid piece, meaning you might get a fingernail in the slot, but never a penny. Thank heavens for Amazon''s return policy!

My husband has difficulty with getting comfortable shoes, and he is on his feet all day.These shoes look great and are comfortable.
