I live in Florida and wear sandals year round. I''ve owned dozens of pairs and these are the best I''ve ever worn at any price. They''re light, durable, easy to put on, dont'' fall off, protect my toes, don''t get waterlogged, dry quickly, and are so comfortable. It''s almost like going barefoot but with a nice protective sole and some cushioning that doesn''t fall off. I am about to order a second pair.

How to make your sandals stop stinking: like all sandals, these start to smell after a few months. I put them in a kitchen size garbage bag then dump in a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and a spoonfull of baking soda and shake well for a few minutes. The peroxide and soda combine to form an industrial-strength destinking solution (google it) while killing the bacteria to boot. You''ll want to rinse well if you get the solution on your skin. I rinse the sandals with a hose and set them in the sun to dry.

This is my second pair of Northside Men''s Burke sandals.The original pair were great.Soft rubber, flexible, well ventilated.I wore them every day.

When it came time to replace them I ordered the same shoe again.This time it''s now called the Northside Men''s Burke II ?This shoe has a much harder rubber compound for the soles.It''s less flexible, and less comfortable.The holes in the uppers are enough smaller than the original version that they don''t ventilate well at all in the toe area.So they feel very hot.

I''ve only had them a week (and worn them enough that I probably can''t return them), but they are headed for the recycling bin before long.

I don''t recommend these at all.

Received item on May 5, 2012... It''s July 8th 2012 and I''m fixing to break out the glue to keep them from falling apart, crazy checkerboard sole pattern will probably make this hard or impossible to fix for any length of time. Wore them every day pretty much.

Liked them while they lasted, but I''m tired of shoes that fall apart after a couple months... I''ve had $5 walmart shoes last longer.
