GBX Men''s 09107 Lace-Up
Been wearing these boots pretty often since I bought them. Not every day, but every other or every three days for a few weeks now. First thing that''s going is the liner seems to only be held in with adhesive, and I walk a lot. So that''s starting to fall down. Then, this morning I was using the loop on the back to pull the boot on, and it popped right off. Guess what, it was only glued on!The boot looks good. This is a fashion boot, not a work boot. One review claimed it was a workboot, but I have only walked in mine, and would not trust it for working in.
Bottom line, this boot is comfortable enough, looks good, but I wish I had spent $20 more and gotten a legitimate work boot, not a fashion piece. I expect to get a month or so more out of these before they''re dead. Compared to my Georgia boots, which I bought at a thrift store, and have worn almost daily for the past 4 years and are still holding up better than these boots.
These ARE NOT WORK BOOTS (!!!).I can''t stress that enough.These won''t last a week on a workman''s feet.They are thin leather, they have NO arch support or cushion in the sole, and the eyelets would give under constant use.They also are not steel toe, or ANSI approved.They are not outdoors boots either.I would wear flip-flops on a 10 mile hike before I''d wear these.These are "pretty-boy" boots, and that''s it.However, if you just want something to wear to the mall or with jeans to go hang out, then these are fine.
As for the sizing...I wear a size 12 running shoe, and got these in a 12 and they were a tad big... not flop-around on my foot big, but I put the inserts in mine and now they fit perfectly.This is also handy because they are not very comfortable if you''re doing a lot of standing or walking... so the inserts cure that and the seeming over-sizing issue.
Overall, for a nice, inexpensive pair of boots I''ll only wear to the office a few times a month, I think I got a good deal.If you need a pair of boots to wear everyday, these may not be for you.If you need WORK boots, these definitely are NOT the right choice.

I tried these flats on in a store and HAD to have them. They are the perfect versatile black flat for any wardrobe. I typically wear a 7.5, but the 8 fits very well. I worry a bit about the rhinestones getting rubbed off (1 was already missing when the shoes arrived in the mail), so I''d suggest storing them in a way that they won''t rub against anything. I normally wear a size 8, but those were too big at the store.They didn''t have any smaller sizes, so I ordered 7.5 from Amazon, which were much too small.I had a wide foot with not much of an arch, so these weren''t that flattering at all.And they hurt to the high dickens.After only about two wears, which is all I have worn them, much of the rhinestones have fallen off, despite trying to be ultra careful.
They are a really cute shoe, just not for me.

They were a bit spendy but I had to have these shoes; platforms may be more comfortable but face it, legs rule and these make them look hot.

My only minor complaint is a metallic-type squeak in one boot that I haven''t yet managed to track down. Might wear off/go away over time. Having purchased many pairs of shoes from Amazon and some of them having been the Easy Streed brand, I felt pretty comfortable ordering this pair, even though they were supplied by Peltz and there was a significant shipping charge.When the shoes arrived, the size had to have been mismarked.I wear a 12W and I couldn''t even begin to get my foot into the shoe!I compared them next to my other Easy Streets, as well as other brands of the same size and they were substantially narrow and shorter than the others.Confident that Peltz would provide a full refund based on this information, I returned the shoes.Unfortunately, they refunded only the cost of the shoes and I''m left out over $13 in shipping both ways with nothing to show for it.Had I simply not liked the shoes or if they had fit but been uncomfortable, I would have expected to pay the shipping costs.But based on all my other shoes of the same size, there is no way they could ever have been considered the correct size.This was my first experience purchasing from Peltz and you can bet it will be my last.In purchasing probably 35 to 40 pairs of shoes online, most were offered with free shipping both ways and very few have I needed to return for any reason.Never again will I risk ordering a shoe that does not have free return shipping, it is just not worth the risk when a company will not stand behind their product.The shoe was attractive, I would have loved for it to have been the right size.As it was, it was just a bad experience all around.Very dissatisfied with the vendor and the incorrect sizing on this shoe!

Birkenstock Milano Slingback Sandal-Unisex
I have owned many pairs of Birkenstock sandals and their variations (like the Betulas). There is a range of prices and quality available (more about durability than comfort, since all have been comfortable to wear). These are the only shoes or sandals I can wear without my specially made orthotics (in fact, you couldn''t wear these with orthotics anyway, since they have a built-in arch). They are more comfortable than wearing shoes with my orthotics. I like these sandals for general wear, dress-down casual, and long walks. A few ''catches'' to consider:1. The sizes are European size, so if you are used to a different size system, it would be better to verify your shoe size in precise European size and use the sizing charts available from Amazon and the sales stores. Once you know your size, so long as your foot size doesn''t change, you know what size to order.
2. Some of the cheaper versions come with soles that wear out faster than other models, so you often do get what you pay for. If you plan on using the sandals for indoor wear and driving, then the cheaper models'' soles should wear just fine, but if you like taking long walks outdoors, the more expensive models last longer (and you can get the sandals ''rebuilt'' through Birkenstock service centers).
3. One big choice you face is getting the sandals with backstraps or with three straps over the top (there are other styles, but this is the main variation on sandals). I have always found the back-strap models to be essential for rugged outdoor wear.
4. On certain wet surfaces, these sandals will slide (as will just about any shoe sole). So be careful on wet surfaces until you know how the sole is going to perform on a particular surface when it is wet.
To conclude, I think the entire Birkenstock and Birkenstock-licensed sandals, clogs and shoes are among the very best footwear ever devised short of getting custom-made shoes. And although they have the reputation as being a bit pricey, they are worth every penny. Also, they have added cheaper models that still give you the Birkenstock benefits (a footbed that once your feet adjust is like walking in cool loam).
So I bought these sandals (no thanks to the 1st two reviews) and like the 1st pair of Berks I bought 4 years ago I absolutely love them. Very soft, already starting to "mold" to the shape of my foot, etc. I actually bought two pairs at the same time. This one w/ strap for when I''m doing alot of city walking or know there will be alot of stairs (like at a ballgame) and the other to replace my first pair that had simply worn out. Order a pair you wont be disappointed!!

Haflinger Unisex Saskatchewan Shearling Clog
I got these slippers in order to have something warm but not squishy for indoors. Mostly, they are super great but there is one problem. The sides are tied together with little leather strips which have a knot on the inside of the shoe. This knot rubs on my skin and drives me crazy.I received these today and they are wonderfully comfortable. I especially like the snug feel of the sheepskin around my foot and the wonderful arch support.
However, only 4 stars because they are really not that attractive. I ordered the Chestnut Brown but the color of the pair I received is not nearly as dark as the advertised pair--more of a faded, lighter brown. I am afraid that they will show drips and stains...
A word about sizing: I have had several pairs of Haflinger clogs and slippers, and I usually find that they run large, so I buy a size smaller than I wear in most shoes. With these, however, I anticipated that they would fit snugly due to the bulk of the shearling fleece on the inside, so I ordered the size that I usually wear in most shoes. I''m glad that I did because these fit perfectly. So, I would say that they run "true to size," but if you wear a half size, I would order up.

These are perfect to slip on when taking off winter shoes.Light weight and easy to take along when visiting so that winter muck is not tracked into friends homes. They are warm and provide arch support as well.Wish there had been more choice of colors.

I am a recent convert to the barefoot style of shoe, and wanted something casual to wear with shorts.These are pretty sporty looking, the top is a thin leather that does stretch a bit with time to conform to your feet.I ordered a half size up, which worked for my funky feet.I think for anyone else they would run pretty true to size.Be aware that this is very much a "barefoot" shoe, which take some acclimation.I actually think that this style would be a good type to start off with.I went straight to Merrell Women''s Pace Glove Trail Running Shoe for 12 hour shifts on my feet, which was not so smart.I wish I''d got these first, and worn them for a while before transitioning on to the others.If you''re already a convert to barefoot shoes, you''ll like these as a good casual shoe.
