I ordered these Charles David "Stepa" Sandals in black and in size 5. At first glance they looked okay...until I got up close to really examine them. It appears the side of the sandals(the area immediately below the studs) contained "cut marks or scratches from the tool used to cut or trim the leather straps). Apparently the manufacturers must have bolted or screwed the leather straps in place before they cut them, and in the process must have inadvertantly left these "cut marks" behind.Also, one of the studs were screwed in at an angle and not straight down (making the screw depth too shallow), causing part of the material on the platform to "pucker."I wasn''t sure if the angled screw would eventually cause the platform material to "give" and break off.Comfort wise...these sandals felt a little "clunky" maybe because the platform is made of a heavier material. There is also no padding for the sole of the foot, so it felt a little hard on my feet. Inevitably, I was left with no choice but to return them. I understand that there are instances of "maufacturing boo-boos," and this, I suppose, wasprobably one of them.Hopefully, the manufacturer and/or shoe designer is cognizant of these issues, and as such, has made it a point to ensure that their sandals are engineered to provide women wtih a sandal that is not only attractive and well made but also a sandal that is comfortable.

I recently had to start wearing orthotics and couldn''t find any sandals where they worked. Then I discovered Drew sandals on the internet. They have removable insoles and are deep enough for orthotics. I can put my orthotics under the insole. The top of the insole or footbed does show a little with my orthotic under it but I just used a marker to color the edge.The Sandy was my first Drew sandal and I have since bought 3 other styles. It is very comfortable and was right from the first. It comes in all sorts of sizes for hard to fit feet.
I only gave it 4 stars because the style is a little clunky, but of course that is part of the reason it''s so comfortable.

Unfortunately the gold finish on several straps of the right shoe was worn to a dull suede on the shoes I received. So sadly I had to send them back. Otherwise the shoes are perfect. I ordered these slippers for myself in a size 10.They did not fit and were way too short for comfort.Rather than pay $5 to return them,I sent them on to my daughter who wears a 9.She loves them and says they fit perfectly.I ordered these slippers in December when the price was $17.No longer available at that price.Might have considered ordering a size 11 for me.If you order, I recommend ordering the next size up from what you normally wear, especially since this style has a back (unlike a scuff that would be more forgiving with sizing).Overall, I am very satified with the slippers.They are warm and very cut, comfortable, and reasonably-priced.I wear them anywhere to run errands around the house or evern go to work.However,while there was no sizing information on-line, go up a half size if you usually wear a half size.I usually wear 6.5 and ordered a 6 thinking these would be like UGG brand which runs half a size larger.However, 6 was too small and tight, I had to return the 6 and purchase a 7, which fitted just right.

Loss of one star due to size. I am a size 7 to 7 1/2 and ordered a size 8 and they are small. I can still wear them, but they would be more comfortable a size up. Otherwise, great slippers, well made, very warm (which is what I wanted) and color was true to the picture.

These are great shoes! They give the illusion of being higher than they are because the platform allows for height without over extending the arch of the foot. It also allows for the foot to remain flatter without putting tons of pressure on the ball of the foot. One suggestion is that these run a little narrow so they are probably not best for wide to extra wide feet. I have a medium wide foot and they are snug, but comfortable.
