These are great shoes! They give the illusion of being higher than they are because the platform allows for height without over extending the arch of the foot. It also allows for the foot to remain flatter without putting tons of pressure on the ball of the foot. One suggestion is that these run a little narrow so they are probably not best for wide to extra wide feet. I have a medium wide foot and they are snug, but comfortable.
