I bought these shoes for a trip to Istanbul: I needed sandals that would look great with my skirts and dresses, but also be more than comfortable for the hours of walking my husband and I do on our trips to foreign cities. These sandals were perfect! No break in time needed at all; they look so good that I was asked many times by strangers about where I had bought them; we walked on average about 6 to 7 hours a dayall over and all through the old cobblestone streets of the old part of Istanbul in hot weather for 13 days straight;these shoes were light and totally comfortable. I bought the ''metal'' sandalsthey looked wonderful with my wardrobe; I like to be well dressed when I travel; these shoes did not disappoint in any respect. I also have orthotics ( so you see, shoe comfort is a very high priority for me); the footbed of these sandals can be removed to accomodate your own orthotics; these shoes are so well constructed for support and comfort that I did not need to remove the excellent footbed provided and use my own orthotics. I can''t say enough about the excellence of this sandal!

This particular style of Naots runs wider than most.a really good thing for me, because I have a narrow heel, but the front of my foot is wide. So these are perfect, fitwise. Wasn''t sure how I was going to feel about the ankle straps would they make me look "cankly"? Well, they don''t; as a matter of fact, the shoes, even with the ankle straps, are very flattering. Also, the shoes are extremely lightweight, and the metal color is a great neutral. And SoleConnect and Amazon got me my shoes within a few days of my ordering them. Am very pleased with my purchase and will probably buy another pair in a different color.
